The Mercedes W123 is rightly now being heralded as one of the twentieth century's iconic saloon cars. Its style. quality and rugged dependability marking it out as a true classic that's admired on an international level. The Coupe majored on style but it was the estate that offered something that was largely unequalled by any other car at the time; that was an estate car that was not only capacious but also. stylish. luxurious. prestigious. beautifully made and. in the case of the 280TE. fast.

Our '84 280TE is finished in arguably the best colour/trim combination of silver with rare factory dark blue leather. It is equipped with an electric sunroof. alloy wheels. Blaupunkt stereo. electric windows. ABS and a four-speed automatic gearbox.

Over the last several years it has been subject to a complete restoration at vast expense.

The body has been completely stripped of glass and panels. received new wings and arches and repainted to the highest standards. The brightwork is exceptional and the original wheels refinished and shod with new Michelin tyres.

The original interior is superb with no seat or steering wheel wear.

The M110 engine has covered just 58k miles and runs beautifully with perfect oil pressure. It has had a new water pump. radiator and thermostat. The gearbox has been serviced and a new mount has been fitted. The propshaft has been serviced with new couplings and centre mount.

The front suspension has been stripped from the car and rebuilt with new ball joints. dampers. The rear suspension has new self-levelling spheres. All brake calipers. flex lines and pipes have been replaced. The fuel tank (over £1000) has been replaced along with all fuel lines and fuel pump.

Extensive paperwork and complete with owners handbook.

After £20k has been invested into this car it is now an extremely fine example of a very desirable model. A highly practical and stylish classic that's lovely to drive.
