A beautiful car which has lead a cosseted existence from new and covered just 32. 00 miles. Purchased new in June 1997 by an elderly gentleman - now 87 years old - for his wife to use on sunny days. the couple spend very little time in the UK and this car has spent most of it's life in a heated garage under a dust cover. The service book details previous maintenance at 3742 miles in 1999. 12509 miles in 2004. 23942 miles in 2010 and 30763 miles in 2013. the car being maintained in the interim in first class order by the couple's grandson who looked after all their cars in readiness for their return visits to the UK. In addition to the service records we have full MOT history from VOSA indicating very little use over the years - the car's first MOT wasn't carried out until 2006 at which point it had covered just 15. 00 miles !

We travelled to Surrey to collect this car. stored under it's dust cover in the garage attached to the couple's beautiful country home and were deeply impressed as the cover was removed. The paintwork has been protected from the sunlight and is truly stunning with a deep lustre and barely a mark to be seen. even the AMG alloy wheels are totally unmarked. a testament to careful ownership. Likewise the black leather interior is virtually as new. only very slight marking to the drivers side bolstering from entry and exit over the years. no other marks are evident on the interior whatsoever. The engine oil was spotlessly clean and the car started first turn of the key and immediately settled to an even idle. this is not a car which has been left languishing in the garage and received no attention. the grandson assuring us the car has been treated to regular outings and far more maintenance than is detailed in the service book to keep the car operating perfectly. The gentleman assures us he paid £92. 00 for the car. with options. in 1997 and the car still looks like it's worth every penny.

The 250 mile drive home was an absolute joy - barring the fact that it was a beautiful sunny day and we had to drive with the hard top in position ! The 500 really is a superb vehicle with more than adequate performance. cruising effortlessly at the motorway limit with barely 2000rpm on the tachometer and returning really quite remarkable fuel economy.
