Nice example of this rare and desirable classic
Notable as the last of the British-market 'Big Ford' convertibles. the Zephyr Mk2 was introduced in 1956. Adapted by Carbodies of Coventry on behalf of Ford the Mk2 was only in production for six years and just 5. 39 Convertibles were made.
South African import hence rust free and solid in all the important places having spent it's life in a hot overseas climate.
The 6 cylinder 2553cc 206E original matching number engine is coupled to a 3 speed column shift manual gearbox and starts up on first turn of the key and performs well.
Paintwork was re-done a few years ago to a good (not show) standard and is free of any major blemishes.
Interior has been re-trimmed in a contrasting red and white vinyl
The hood is manually operated and in good condition with no rips or tears although the rubber around the rear screen has seen better days.
Chrome is excellent condition all round.
New tyres x 4 fitted all round
We are in the process of applying for first UK registration so the car will be supplied with correct period number plate and 12 months road tax.
