FOR SALE; Wonderful early non-sunroof 928 with dogleg gearbox.

EQUIPMENT

EXTERIOR
This magnificent 928 is finished in the striking Guards Red paintwork. On close inspection there are a few light stone chips to the front of the car which have been carefully touched-in. The paintwork remains in good condition. boasting a deep glassy shine all round with only a couple of areas that might need attention for the perfectionist. The black window trim and rubbers are also in fine fettle with only a dusting of minor chips to the top of windscreen.

INTERIOR
Sinking into the kitsch cloth / leather sports seats. the deep bolsters feel comfortable and supportive showing very little wear considering its mileage. The medium brown leather. with that psychedelic central cloth design. remains in excellent condition with no sagging or tears to be found whilst the rear seats are in notably fine order displaying minimal wear. The dashboard and centre console are free from any cracks or damage. The car still houses its Panasonic radio cassette unit in keeping with total originality.

The brown carpets remain clean and tidy throughout the car. protected in the foot-wells by the original Porsche over-mats which are also in turn protected by another set of over-mats. The boot space is in good order and the carpet fits well with no unsightly stains or marks.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
In 2012 David Lee. formerly of JZ Machtech. carried out a full engine rebuild; there is a wonderful picture wallet to annotate work carried out. The rebuild also saw the installation of 928 S camshafts as well as various other modifications to future proof the performance of this rare early 928. The car fires into life with a menacing warble. enhanced further by an x-pipe exhaust. and performs extremely well on test. The dogleg gearbox is easy to use. with no hesitancy or resistance. and a joy to use once out on the open road.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
Original unmarked Teledial wheels with Porsche crest and recently installed matching Toyo Proxes all round. With discs and pads replaced in 2013 this performs absolutely as it should. pulling up well with no adverse pitch or pull.

HISTORY FILE
Delivered new to Lancaster Garages of Norwich on 15. 05. 80. The car went back to the supplying dealer in '81 for it's first service. and there is a huge history file of supporting documentation right up to the final entry with marque specialists RPM Technik. Along with the full engine rebuild in 2012 many parts have been renewed or replaced recently; new front brake discs. suspension top mounts. temp sensor. thermostat. immobiliser pin socket and a new battery. Service wallet with history records and supplementary booklets are all correct and present with MOT's stretching back to 1995.
