The bold. horizontal lines of the XJS present immaculately under our studio lighting; from the glass-like shine of the pristine paintwork. to the flawless. mirror-finish of the chrome detailing. Indeed. from every angle the car appears as new. which is unsurprising considering it has covered less than 13k miles in its life to date.

Aside from one minor chip to the bonnet. the condition of the XJS is consistent with that of a new model leaving a Jaguar showroom for the first time. On close inspection every single panel is arrow straight. with absolutely no signs of any corrosion. All the trim around the vehicle is factory-fresh. and all lenses are crystal clear and free from any cracks; even the black rubber windscreen seal retains its factory shine. Furthermore. the hood remains in outstanding condition with no wear or discolouration whatsoever. This is a true time-warp example.

INTERIOR
The interior of the XJS presents flawlessly. The deeply contoured sports seats are faced in unblemished soft blue leather. which remains tight and wear-free. The impeccable. deep carpets and meticulously tailored upholstery create a picture of tasteful opulence. as much now as they did in the early nineties.

Furthermore. the burr walnut veneers richly adorning the doors. fascia. and centre console are absolutely faultless with no cracking to note. The luxurious comfort and elegant décor is well matched by functional elegance; behind the seats is a full-width lockable stowage box. invaluable should you wish to leave the car with the roof open. What's more. when the roof is closed the beige velour headlining is spotless.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 5. 3-litre 12-cylinder engine which graces the XJS V12 convertible combines docile flexibility with immense reserves of near-silent power. The twin aluminium alloy cylinder heads present beautifully amongst the elaborate system of intricate wiring. with all engine bay components appearing perfectly healthy.

The sophisticated cruise control system and smooth automatic gearbox operate very well. with impressive mid-range flexibility and a near seamless delivery of power.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The 15-inch alloy wheels are near pristine with the Jaguar centre caps presenting as new. With only minor marking to a couple of wheels to note. the finish to each one is excellent.

The alloys are shod in a matching set of Pirelli P600 tyres. each with plenty of tread remaining.

HISTORY FILE
First registered on 2nd February 1990. this Jaguar has covered just 12. 87 miles from new. Present in the history file are several recent MOT certificates and the V5C.
