Jeep : Other Base Standard Cab Pickup 2-Door

 This Jeep was built within the pages of Jp Magazine. Known as Piggy the Pig Truck. This 1978 Jeep J-10 was built when America used lots of steel to build trucks. The truck was a GSA fleet vehicle and then was owned by an outfit called "Greedy Pigs All Service". I bought it a couple of years ago. and love it. but it needs a new home/caretaker. The AMC 360 has Edelbrock Aluminum Heads. Edelbrock Aluminum intake. Edelbrock Cam Shaft (off idle to 5000rpm). Howell Fuel injection. an AIRAID air cleaner. Edelbrock valve covers. nbsp; and gets pretty bad gas mileage (like 8-10). It does however make lots of torque. The engine runs fine (very reliable with the Howell). but needs a rear main seal as many Jeeps do. That's right this beast leaks oil when parked.

It has power steering. power brakes a heater and manual just about everything else. No radio. No speakers. I recently added a dual exhaust system. The truck has Dana 44 axles front and rear geared at 4. 10:1 (from the factory). the front has Warn locking hubs. The transmission is a Borg Warner T-18 with a granny first gear (something like 6. 23:1). The transfercase is a Dana 20. The truck had a non-functioning aftermarket A/C which I converted over to run on-board air. so you can inflate tires. run air tools etc. The interior is pretty basic. I recovered the seat with some nice saddle blankets. Still needs a headliner and door panels if your into that (I have the old door panels. but they are pretty much junk). The Jeep has a 4 inch Skyjacker suspension lift with Skyjacker Hydro shocks (about 3-5K miles on it). Tires are Retro Bias-ply STA Super Lugs from Coker on 16x8 inch Wheel Vintiques wheels with dog dish caps (there are 5. but the spare has a boo boo on the sidewall and probably should be scrapped). The truck has two tool boxes for just about anything you'd want to carry in it. It is currently registered as a collector car in Arizona. If you have strict emissions laws in your state this vehicle may not be for you. It has a CARB sticker for the Howell. but I cant guarantee it will pass any emissions tests. This truck is very unique. I have seen many many Jeeps and there are NONE like this one. The Paint and Patina tell a story. This truck has been used as a Jeep should. So if you want to buy it and paint it so that it looks like new. go find another truck without. dings. dents. or a pig on the door.

The vehicle has been in the Southwest all its life as far as I can tell. It has no rust holes. only surface rust. The worst rust is in the bed. and its not bad at all. Its like working on a 5 year old car.
