Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.15) based on 298 votes
Serviced & Garaged: I have already serviced this car and garaged it for the off season in Keene. NH. The oil is fresh and the fuel tank was filled with high octane fuel. treated with "Textron" as well as "Sta-bil 360" to keep the fuel and the fuel systems ready for next spring. If you aren't ready to take immediate delivery. I'm sure we can work something out for the winter months. Just email or call me to talk.

There are other Mark V's on the market. but this one only has 31. 41 miles on it. It has the luxurious white leather seating with the royal blue piping and interior trim. by far the best choice. and it is in excellent condition.

The blue and white exterior paint is all original too. There really isn't much wrong with this car cosmetically or mechanically - just a few things that I am quick to point out in the spirit of full disclosure.

Cosmetically: There is some almost unnoticable dinging in the passenger door. Although most people don't notice it. it is there. There is some very minor paint wear on the lower panels - if you look for it. you will find it. Nothing that really matters. I took the car to my body mechanic (who has many classics of his own) and asked him if I should make the car perfect. He said not to touch the original paint. a little partina is more acceptable [in terms of overall value] than fresh paint. I agree. because this car really looks nice. Overall. the paint looks new and it really shines.

Mechanically: The fuel gauge and the clock are the only items not operating. I am hoping that the Texron additive will help restore the sending unit in the fuel tank (assuming that is the issue). Time will tell. Because of the trip odometer. I never have to worry about running out of fuel. as I reset it when I fill up.

History: I purchased the Lincoln from the original owner. who was actually a Trust. They (a Trust managed by a husband and wife) bought the car from Downtown Lincoln-Mercury. Inc. of Nashua. NH on March 16. 1979.

Supporting Documentation: I have the original bill of sale. purchase agreement. owner card. and a copy of the original title. Additionally. I have a 1979 Lincoln Mark V brochure with the notations of this agreement penned inside of it. All of this original paperwork accompanies the car when I sell it. as part of the history of this survivor.

Low Miles: In explanation of the low miles. I acquired the 1979 Lincoln from the wife a few years following the death of her husband. who had been bed-ridden for several years prior to that. He owned this car along with several other vehicles that he kept garaged year-round at his home in Lunenburg. MA.

The Mark V had 23. 17 miles on it when I purchased it on April 30. 2012. so I have owned and driven this car for the past three summer seasons. placing just over 10. 00 more miles on it. At last glance there was 34. 41 actual miles on the odometer.

I have been very careful with this car. keeping it in the garage at my home in Keene. NH when not in use. To my knowledge. it has never seen any snow or winter driving. I own four other vehicles. and he had more than that - so there was no reason to ruin it by driving it in bad weather coditions.

Repairs: The original owner had bought new GoodYear tires for the Lincoln just before he got ill. I'm not sure I still have the receipt for them. but the tires have little more than the 10. 00 miles I put on them.

I have replaced the radiator and the starter. If the buyer wants the original parts repaired and put back into the car. the orininal starter is still good. the radiator needs to be re-cored. but I kept them.

I put in a new Exide NASCAR Select battery in the car in 2013.
I also upgraded the Air Conditioning system to the new  R-134 refrigerant.

Reason For Selling: It is time for my wife and I to reposition some of our assets. Being a car guy. for me it's always about new automotive experiences. I am been blessed having been a steward of this rare gem. but there are other rare gems I would love to experience too - one at a time. though. I am surely not in the collector spirit (yet).

Bonus 1: I am a website developer. and have purchased the domain name "1979Lincoln. com" that I will include with the purchase of this car as a bonus.
Bonus 2: I have built a site for this car and will include the site along with three months of free hosting on my server. or transfer the files it to another hosting service that you own. The site is developed using the WordPress content management system.

Happy Bidding!
