1970 Porsche 911 T/E Targa

Yes this is a 1970 Porsche 911 T original Chassis with a year correct 1970 E engine and 1970 matching transmission according to the Porsche Redbook.   I have the COI from Porsche and it is originally Sepia Brown/74. a special order color. with brown leatherette/21 interior. Originally a California car that made it to the Midwest in late 1990's

However if you remember a good 1970's movie with a “why did they do that?” 1980's remake you have this car.   It appears in the mid 1990's someone in California decided to remake this car painstakingly into a 1980's ish 911 (even a few 1990's parts. tail lights ).   Includes all quarter panels. hood (see latch cut out) and even much of the dash door panels and interior (they even put in a center console and a duck tail). The rear quarter panels and engine cover are fiberglass but hood and front quarters are all real metal.  It was done fairly well I am sure but has been worn.   I have an inch or so or receipts adding up in the $10. 00s of dollars from prior owners.   It was built to be a performance driver with the duck tail and a short shifter installed.  It has a clear Michigan title signed by the previous owner; I could register it. if needed. in Wisconsin where it currently resides.

It is what I would call a 30 footer. has several chips and marks. but is a very presentable driver and pulls well through all 5 forward and reverse gears.   I have put a couple hundred miles on her and she is a good driver. This car was in storage. according to the prior owner. for the last 10 years and we got her out and have her running and shifting and driving well with all the work done by Jim Bach and Bach Race Craft in Wisconsin.   She of course leaks a little oil as all old Porsche engines do.   You could drive this car as is for several years while you plan your remake. but she is a nice one to restore back to her period correct body and interior.   The addition of the 1970 E engine and rare color will make for a nice car when she is done.   This is a GREAT project.

The key areas. like floor pans and rear seat pans are all original and in as great a shape as you will normally see on a 1970.   The do not need replacement or even much repair.   The 1980's big parts of the car are all in pretty good shape and could easily be sold when you decide to restore.   The seats are quite worn and need some repair. the rear tail lights are pretty rough. but the gauges all work (except clock) and the carpet is pretty cheap and bad. No idea of the mileage. Includes tool kit. Jack. car cover. charcoal canister.  and porsche air pump. Car is missing hood emblem that is in pictures. no idea where it came off on a drive.  This is a USA car.

I have included many pictures for your review.
