A beautiful. nbsp;usable 7 seat limousine with sliding division. Cream over black. Originally Blue over black. With deep blue remains in the engine compartment.

The swept tail coachwork is by the noted builders Thrupp & Maberly who were later taken over by the Rootes Group. A very tidy example of their work with solid doors shutting in a similar manner to those found on train carriages. The coachwork being tidy and original. including a dent to the near side front wing by a previous owner. To the rear is original west of England cloth in clean and tidy condition throughout. The front is finished in the original specification of tan leather.

The interior has large areas of finely figured burr Walnut. The speedometer shows 83. 00 miles & this is the original correct mileage. The car drives in a very tight manner with precise steering & silent supple suspension. The springs have been removed. cleaned and oiled giving a floating feel ride and the shock absorbers serviced.

The foot pedals exhibit little wear giving credence to the low indicated mileage as does the former long term ownership by its previous keepers. The same can be said for the gearbox. The servo and drum brakes have been overhauled and adjusted and are perfectly sound. drawing up straight. Rear tyres show only light signs of wear. The fronts were replaced in August this year.

The engine has just been freshly rebuilt including replacement of both pistons and liners. retaining a standard cylinder bore. Perfectly run in. starting readily & running in silence. Special attention to detail devoted to the engine restoration as the vehicle is owned by an engine reconditioner. The original radiator has been dip cleaned and pressure tested. passing with flying colours.

Lighting by Lucas and fully operational including the original reversing and fog lamps noted on the build sheets. The same can be said for the original QK596 headlamps with single dip operational. Ace type side lights to the wings a noted extra.

Complete with twin front under seat tool trays and some tools including the wheel spanner. Ace wheel disc spanner and 2 piece starting handle. Jacks built in.

Serviced and in almost daily use weather permitting. a real pleasure to drive. Offered for sale by RREC member at £31000 ono as a new project is on the horizon. Please contact Michael on - 07939 219795
