I am relisting because the last auction ended when someone used the buy it now by mistake.

This would be a great winter hobby for someone. Take some time to detail a few things and install the included parts.

This auction is for a 1969 Mach 1 CLONE! This car did not leave the factory as a Mach 1. A previous owner had a Mach 1 donor car. so all of the interior and exterior options are present for an authentic Mach 1.

This is a great solid running and driving car. I usually just drive it locally to car shows and cruises. but I have taken it on a couple of 200 mile round trips. This car has never stranded me and is built to be simple and reliable.

The engine. transmission and axle are all date code correct for the car. The transmission is a wide ratio top-loader 4 speed. The axle is a 3. 00 limited slip 9 inch. The engine is a 1969 290 HP M code Windsor with a mild cam and an Edelbrock Streetmaster intake topped with a vacuum secondary Holley with electric choke. The ignition is a GM HEI style distributor made by DUI. I know. I don't like GMs either. but it does work great. The only downside is that the stock air cleaner won't fit with it installed (it is included). Mid length headers flow into a pair of flow master knock offs. They sound nice and throaty like turbo mufflers. All of the gauges except the clock work. There is a CSRP disc brake upgrade kit installed on the car complete with new spindles. tie rod ends. slotted rotors and late model Mustang GT (2003) calipers. The kit is a power brake kit. but I did not install the power booster and master cylinder (they are included). I liked having the manual brakes and steering. With the new bigger brakes the 14" Magnum 500s would no longer fit so I dressed it up with some 15" Torq Thrusts and BFGs (only about 2-3 thousand miles on the wheels and tires). The Magnum 500 rims were new in 2007 and come with the car (including the lug nuts). The rear tires are decent and the front ones basically just hold air.   Along with the brake kit I installed new Moog complete lower control arms and upper ball joints. A previous owner heated the front coils to lower the car so I purchased a new pair of Grab-A-Trak 620 front coils. a pair of Open Tracker Racing Products roller bearing spring perches. and a Scott Drake one piece concourse export brace to replace the original two piece set-up. I have sheet metal templates for the UCA "Shelby drop. " You can have them if you buy the car. Also included is an ididit tilt column made for this car and that accepts the original rim-blow steering wheel. After purchasing these parts I started to question the direction that I wanted this build to go. Original. restomod or race car? There is a box full of miscellaneous parts and pieces that come with the car (see pics). snubbers. gaskets. screws. latch parts for the fold down rear seat etc. I am also including an extra 9 inch center section with 3. 50 gears and a set of Cal Tracs traction bars. There are no rust issues and all of the sheet metal is straight and solid. The major sheet metal parts that have been replaced are both the left and right full quarter panels. both outer rear wheel houses. both doors (complete shells). right and left full floor pans. both seat riser pans. the battery apron and the left rocker panel.

The car was painted 95 GM Victory Red PPG code 4154 in 2007. but the paint job was not great. It shows orange peel texture. sand scratches and some scuffs and chips. To be really nice this car needs a repaint. The hood and trunk are showing small blisters under the paint (probably left in bare steel too long). that just can't simply be sprayed over. The engine compartment could use a fresh detail. The emergency brakes are not hooked up. I'm guessing that the cables were seized. so they were cut off long ago and the back-up lights do not work.   If the heater blower motor is run for longer than a few minutes it starts to squeak.

The reason that I am selling the car is to help finance my wife's new business.

I want to be open and honest about this car. Ask questions and send emails.

My reserve price is set slightly higher than a new Dynacorn body shipped to your door.

I have located a towing and hauling company based out of Illinois that is in my are regularly. He can handle just about any shipping needs for the car and parts. I will share his information with serious inquirers only. per his request.

I set up a photobucket with over 270 pictures and a short video of the car here:
