This masterfully crafted truck shows what Ford would have made in 1953 if theyd had the vision. Classic lines are fused with modern equipment along with suicide doors and four-wheel drive. Ford parts were used to build this stylish. comfortable. and functional truck.  The Custom Cab was created using three cabs and six doors. The goal was to use stock parts to stretch the cab twenty-four inches. Ford parts were molded and artistically integrated to maintain the timeless lines. Every part of the truck was modified except for the hood and the grill.  Modern inner fenders were installed to clean the wheel wells and prevent rock chips. A third brake light was built in and the two stock gas tanks are accessed through flush doors. The tailgate has a custom designed hidden support system that allows it to be fully functional without the use of chains. The bed. running boards and under the hood were coated with Line-X. A custom blue truck cover protects the vehicle when not in use. The interior was created by applying three fabrics over modern seats. Under the fold down back seat is an 800W stereo system to power the three built-in DVDs and the six-speaker Pioneer/Infinity stereo system. The features are modern. yet the looks are classic. On the dash. you will see the stock starter switch and below it the stock brake handle. The stock window cranks operate the four power windows. The sunroof is powered as is the steering and brakes.  Tilt the hood forward and you will find an outstanding Ford 460 sitting between the frame rails of a F-150 4x4 big block chassis. The detailed engine is equipped with Cobra Jet heads. and parts from Edelbrock. MSD. March. Holley and more. Coated headers send the exhaust through the throaty Flow-master mufflers. Power is routed from the big block through a C-6 built for towing. A Class III hitch and wiring is hidden under the fold down 1953 license plate. It took twelve years to build my dream. The end product turned out even better than I could have imagined. The truck was unveiled as the center piece at the 2010 Ford F-100 Super nationals in Pigeon Forge TN. where it was awarded best in class. It was then featured in a four page article in a national magazine.
