Porsche : 911 911

For your consideration: 1974 Porsche 911 Targa with 54. 00 original miles. Numbers matching and very original! The 1974 model is very unique as its the first year of the body style safety modifications. but did not include in emissions / smog additions to the engine like the years to follow. Although I know the history of this car. unfortunately I have no paperwork or manuals. I have been around the car for many years and always been taken care of.

Exterior is white and has recently been repainted to the original color due to normal driving (rock chips). The paint used to repaint was top of the line. very expensive. The paint is very nice. but does have a few blemishes. No accidents or rust! Floor pan is excellent. The car has its original fuchs and nice tires with plenty of tread left. The exterior targa top appears to be original. with one small razor cut (see pic). Glass is excellent - the windshield has a few tiny chips. but no cracks. Sliver Targa bar is excellent. no dings.

Engine is the original 2. 7 - 6 cylinder. Can be a little cold blooded when started once in a while but starts quickly and runs very strong. Gearbox shifts smooth through all gears. clutch works perfectly. I just completed a valve adjustment. oil change.  added new NKG spark plugs. new premium spark plug wires. and a distrubutor cap. This 1974 has the floor hand throttle and it works perfectly. Pop off installed in air box.

Interior is excellent. Original Cassette. Black interior. Dash no cracks. Seats are as close to perfect as you will find for a 40 year old car. They are black with black corduroy inserts. The door panels are a very dark blue ( very hard to tell from black). The only non-original modification I can see from the interior is that one of the previous owners added tweeter speakers to the doors. The windows roll up and down. although when rolling them up. they can be stiff so I believe the tracks needs to be adjusted. The interior foam on the targa top was recently replaced.

Here are the new items I have ordered for the car: A new hood Porsche Emblem. New Headlights. 1 new headlight ring. 1 of the targa top latches is missing. I have ordered these things so will either send them with the car or mail them to the buyer when they arrive. I simply purchased these items to freshen up with car with the new paint. but originals are on the car.

This car is an excellent example of a 1974 Porsche 911. but it is a 40 year old car so please ask any questions you have before bidding. Sold as is where is. Buy it now! Its priced to sell below current market value as I need to make space before winter.
