The 220 S was included in his debut in 1954 with enthusiasm. The first real new development after the war with a unitized body and many innovative security features. such as a crumple zone and a safety steering column.

The convertible version appeared due to the very high design complexity until a year later.

This copy was delivered as a new car in the United States. Took place already in 1996 the return to Germany. Its very good condition formed an excellent basis for the ENTIRE then carried out restoration. which was completed in 2014.
