Completed on January 18. 1966. in Silver Metallic paint over Black Leatherette upholstery. this 911 Coupe was sold new through Four-J Motors in Huntington Park. California to a Mr. Rutt. a local resident of Huntington Park. The car's Porsche Kardex records early servicing entries and build specifications. as does the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

The 911 was eventually found in Douglas. Arizona in the late 1990s. The car was located in a sand lot. painted red. but in exceptionally preserved condition with zero rust or rot. A project was commissioned to bring the Porsche back to life. eventually taking the better half of 10 years to complete. The car was totally stripped down to a shell. smoothed and straightened with all metal finishing leaded in where needed. Deco molding holes were welded in while the body and pans needed no rust repair. The front and rear suspension pieces were stripped and had a baked on aircraft finish applied. Everything from new wheel bearings to custom built koni double adjustable shocks were addressed. A drawn over mandrel roll cage was then built to the specs of a GT3 1999 factory race car and installed in the vehicle.

Chuck Croteau of Redline Service rebuilt the original numbers-matching engine. A list of specifications include: Weber 46 mm Carburetors. PMO manifolds. factory 2. 0L heads ported to 38mm. Original block case with modified oil system. Aluminum factory case main caps and 2. 0 factory non counter weighted crankshaft. Additionally. Polished and balanced factory connecting rods. Center Force clutch and pressure plate. 911S lightweight flywheel and rounding out the exhaust with a P911-S/NS European Racing Header.   The 2. 0 liters of displacement produces 130hp at the rear wheels and 100 ft. lb. of torque. The ignition system is powered by a Bosch MSD and Bosch 3. 2 Carrera style alternator.

The 911's transmission is near to 1969 factory specifications. with a 7:31 ratio. Quaffe limited slip differential and Lobro axels. Suspension: Factory 911 S 1969 with Weltmiester torsion bars and Factory trailing arms with Weltmiester adjustable torsion bars. Brakes: 911S alloy front ATE Steering: Porsche factory. Wheels and Tires: 6X15 alloys 1970 911S. Nitto 205/50/15.

After the build completion. the car was road tested for over 1. 00 miles with multiple chassis dyno runs to dial everything in. It was then taken to Bob Bondurant School of High Performance driving for sorting by chief driving instructor Mike McGovern. Soon after. the 911 took 1st place at Phoenix Concours de Elegance with 321. 9 of 325 possible points by Porsche Club of America.

Sold on a clear title. the car is very capable of competing in governed vintage racing circuits. rally events such as Tour Auto or a drive around town.
