THIS IS A NO-RESERVE AUCTION; HIGH BIDDER AT THE END OWNS THE TRUCK! Please bid only if you are in a ready position to complete the transaction promptly.  Thank you in advance; I've had a ton of interest. but no follow-through as yet.  You may call me directly at 360-936-9257 to discuss.

This is Ford's answer to the classic 1955 through 1959 Chevy half-ton short bed truck. everyone's got a Chevy. stand out in the crowd with this gorgeous Ford!

You are bidding on a very rare. fantastic restored example of a classic 1960 Ford F250 Custom Cab Long Narrow Bed (LNB). featuring its' rebuilt original 292 V-8 engine with upgrades. 4-speed manual transmission with new clutch. a rebuilt 3. 07 positraction rear end. and factory Tu-Tone paint with the Custom Cab deluxe trim package.   This truck is  a true Nostalgic classic; turn-key. classy. fun. and reliable!

The truck began life as a ¾ ton F250. and some of the first work performed was to change the front and rear axles and suspension over to ½-ton 5-bolt pattern versions.

The trucks' original 292 V8 engine has been recently and fully rebuilt including a fully-balanced rotating assembly. new rings and bearings. cam and lifters. pushrods. and oil pump.   The heads have been rebuilt as well including springs. guides. and hardened valve seats for contemporary unleaded fuel.   The engine features a notable “reliability” oil system modification which adds auxiliary oil lines to supply lubrication to the top of the valve train. correcting the inadequate factory “drip” system that so often lead to worn out rockers. failed lifters. etc.   There are fewer than ten thousand miles on the rebuilt engine. and it runs beautifully. very smooth and powerful.

The truck has a brand-new exhaust system using the factory cross-over exhaust manifolds. new head pipe. muffler. and tail pipe.  Very clean and correct installation.

The engine also features all new accessories. including a new water pump. fuel pump. fuel lines. belts. hoses. battery. etc.   The fuel tank has been properly cleaned and sealed; the radiator boiled out and sealed. new fuel lines. etc.   It has been a reliable weekend driver for the past four years prior to the fresh restoration which my shop just performed (approximately 10K miles on the rebuilds).  You can feel confident hopping in this truck and driving across the country without a worry if you wish.   Newer brakes. and brand-new $1. 500. 00 Coker Classic wide whitewall radial tires on original restored steel wheels.   The truck is very easy to drive; predictable. comfortable. and reliable.   The radial tires are properly sized to the truck so that the ride is comfortable. and the steering easy.  It sounds great too. with the new exhaust system.

The clutch was replaced when the engine was rebuilt. and is still solid. the transmission shifts smoothly. the brakes are sound. the steering tight; the truck drives straight down the road. and has no issues to speak of.   It could benefit from new shock absorbers. but that's a very inexpensive improvement that can be done at any time.

The engine bay looks as nice as the rest of the truck with fresh paint and detail throughout. a fresh tune-up. and new exhaust.   Engine runs smoothly and reliably; this can absolutely be your classic daily driver if you wish.

The bodywork was completed to a very high standard. and is extremely straight. with a brand-new $8. 00. 00 two-tone high-end paint job in factory colors. Wimbledon white and Monte Carlo red.    The work was done with hammer-and-dolly to get the sheet metal as flat as possible and minimize body filler.    After bodywork. it was primed with 2K urethane primer. sealed. and painted in factory two-tone urethane enamel; it looks outstanding.

The polished chrome grill is in virtually perfect condition. as are the chrome Custom Cab and other exterior emblems. mirror. etc.

The bed has also been restored. with new knotty pine satin finished wood installed on the bed floor. and new hardware throughout.   We finished the sides. bulkhead. and tailgate in Line-X lifetime spray-on bed liner finish on prior to paint. The outer surface of the tailgate is absolutely fantastic; super straight.  While retaining a mostly original look. the truck has had the rear bumper removed. and is slightly lowered via re-arched springs for a clean. custom look.

The glass has been replaced and is all in excellent condition. including brand-new front windshield. and wing windows.   The side and back are originals which I located in extremely nice condition.   The window regulators both roll up and down smoothly.   I replaced the front windshield gasket as well with the glass.   It is the Custom Cab model. which features the fancy aluminum trim in the moldings. and a more deluxe two-tone matching interior.  The door weatherstripping is also brand-new. installed after the paint work was completed.

I continue to love the old hot rod look of the red steelie wheels with chrome baby moon hubcaps. it's a total American Graffiti classic.   Combined with the new wide whitewall tires. this is one classy truck.

The restored interior is essentially the same as the day it left the factory. with the exception of a good-looking traditional “Saddle Blanket” seat cover.    The repainted factory red and white two-tone interior was classy then. and still does now.   The dash and gauge cluster itself are both very nice. and the gauges all work.    The speedometer cable was not replaced after the transmission was serviced. and still needs to be done.  New visors. armrest. seat cover. and floor mat round out the restored interior.

The underside of the truck. wheel openings. etc. is almost as nice as the rest of the truck; very nicely detailed throughout after a thorough cleaning.  Just a step or two shy of a complete body-off-frame restoration.  The bed was removed and the frame cleaned and detailed.

While not a 100-point concourse restoration (this truck was built to drive and enjoy. not sit and be trailered). this is a very. very nice restored truck that you can afford to buy. drive. and enjoy without spending forty or fifty thousand dollars.

Clear title in hand with no issues. Please plan to remit payment within 3 days of auction's end.   While every effort is being made to represent the vehicle accurately. it is in fact a 54-year old classic and being old as-is without warrant or guarantee expressed. written. or implied.   I can accept a direct deposit to my Bank of America business account. a wire transfer into my credit union personal account. or a major bank cashier's check. which I can verify before releasing the truck or title.

Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; however I will make myself on available for shipping short notice.   I have used shippers in the past I could recommend. but most buyers use eBay's U-ship option where shippers bid for your best price.

It would cost you north of $25. 00. 00 to duplicate this truck. starting with a solid driver.  I am in a position where I require cash. and am selling the truck at a give-away price.  This truck is more amazing in person than it is in the pictures. and it is a stunner. as you can see.

You may call me at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have.  Overseas buyers are welcome. as long as you are able to pay promptly.
