1990 'G' Mercedes 500SE. extensively restored. over £14. 00 spent in the last 18 months !

This is a thoroughly pampered example which we acquired from the retired Mercedes enthusiast owner who has fastidiously restored this vehicle over the last 18 months of ownership. spending over £14. 00 on the car to maintain it in superb mechanical condition. The car benefits from a complete and up to date service record with previous services recorded at 840. 12914. 27652. 28961. 36154. 42219. 47262. 55072. 76295. 76523. 91300. 91805 and 92886 miles - current mileage 95423. The previous owner acquired the car with 92715 miles in July 2013 and then commenced the restoration process and we have a collection of invoices totalling a staggering £12. 23. 29 for work carried out by Hilton&Moss. classic Mercedes specialists. The work is far too extensive to list but includes new timing chains and tensioners. suspension overhaul with shock absorbers and bushes. gearbox service. braking system overhaul with new discs. pads and sensors. air conditioning system overhaul with new compressor and receiver. exhaust system. all belts renewed. switches cleaned etc etc. In addition to servicing information we have a collection of old MOT's and Tax Discs for the vehicle.

We travelled to Scotland to collect this car and were very impressed with the condition. the Oil is so clean it looks as though it has only just been changed ! The journey home included congested city centres. switchback Scottish 'A' roads and a long motorway run and the car performed beautifully - and used much less fuel than we anticipated ! Cruising effortlessly on the motorway. the big 5. 0 litre V8 turning at just over 2000 rpm. we could have driven this car all day. The old chap told us he imagined this car would last another 25 years and from the driving seat we have no reason to disagree. with all the work he has done the car should need little more than routine servicing for the next 100. 00 miles !

Finished in Diamond Blue over Silver with excellent blue Leather upholstery. this is a very highly specified car for the period including air conditioning. electric tilt/slide sunroof. modern Pioneer stereo with CD Player. electric seats with memories. heated seats. cruise control. electric windows front and rear. electric mirrors. electric steering column adjustment. central locking. headlamp wash/wipe. fog lamps. trip odometer. 16 inch alloy wheels etc.
