UP FOR AUCTION OR SALE IS MY FULLY RESTORED 1965 MUSTANG FASTBACK.   I RESTORE CLASSICS AS A HOBBY AND PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND QUALITY OF WORK.   I HAVE BEEN RESTORING CARS FOR OVER 17 YEARS AND LOVE THE HOBBY.  

 

THIS ONE IS NO EXCEPTION. WITH NO EXPENSES SPARED. THIS MUSTANG TURNED OUT BEAUTIFULLY. LOOKING AND PERFORMING AS THEY SHOULD.   PLEASE READ THE AD AND BID TO WIN. OFFERS WILL BE ACCEPTED VIA EMAIL OR PHONE CALL IF NEEDED.

DECIFERS TO EARLY PRODUCTION FASTBACK. 289 A CODE. 225 HP. 4 BBL WITH 4 SPEED TRANS. TRAC LOCK DIFF. 3. 00 RATIO. LT BLUE WITH

RED INTERIOR.  

 

I PURCHASED THIS MUSTANG OVER 1. 5 YEARS AGO. HOWEVER I DID NOT START THIS RESTORATION UNTIL LAST FALL. 2013.   I DISASSEMBLED THIS CAR COMPLETELY. HAD IT CLEANED AND MEDIA BLASTED. PRIMED AND THEN INSTALLED ON ROTORY.   ANY RUST REMAINING WAS REPLACED WITH NEW PANELS. nbsp;PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED. PRIMED AND BLOCKED. CAULKED AND PAINTED AS NEEDED.   MY PAINTER USED BASE COAT CLEAR COAT. THEN POLISHED TO A BEAUTIFUL FINISH.  

 

PAINT

SEALED. PRIMED. BASE COAT CLEAR COAT.   UNDERSIDE WAS PAINTED LOW GLOSS BLACK TO PROTECT FOR STONE OR ROAD GRIME.   ALL JAMBS. WINDOW SILLS. TRUNK. AND UNDERHOOD ARE MATCHING GLOSS BLACK.    THE UNDERHOOD FIREWALL AND SURROUNDING AREAS ARE LOW GLOSS BLACK TO MATCH UNDERSIDE.  

THE INTERIOR IS PAINTED 65 INTERIOR RED. ALONG WITH ALL PANELS TO ENSURE A MATCH.   THE ENGINE BLOCK IS FORD BLUE. THE DRIVE TRAIN COMPONENTS ARE CAST COAT IRON IN COLOR. THE REAR DIFF IS LOW GLOSS BLACK.   LOOKS VERY CLEAN AND NEAT.

 

WHEELS/TIRES

THE WHEELS ARE CUSTOM MADE FROM VINTAGE WHEEL WORKS OUT OF CALIFORNIA.   TYPE  GT 40 STYLE LIKE THE GONE IN 60 SECONDS MOVIE.

SIZE 17X8 FRONT AND 17X9. 5 REAR WITH CUSTOM BACKSIDE SETTING TO ACCOMIDATE THE LARGE TIRES.

TIRES ARE 2454517 FRONT BFG KDW AND THE REAR 2754017 BFG KDW.  

SPINNERS ARE SLIDE-IN WITH 1/2" CHROME LUGS

 

EXHAUST

HEDDERS ARE CUSTOM AND PURCHASED FROM A FORD PERFORMANCE SUPPLIER. CERAMIC COATED GREY WITH BALL COLLECTORS.   THE EXHAUST IS 2. 5 INCH STAINLESS. COMPLETE SYSTEM FROM PYPES. STAINLESS CHAMBER MUFFLER WITH DOUBLE WALLED TIPS. ALL WELDED TIGHT FOR A SNUG FIT.   SOUNDS GREAT. NOT TO LOUD AT IDLE. WHILE STILL MAINTAINING THAT UNIQUE BOSS 302 SOUND! 

EXTERIOR

ALL NEW PAINT. NEW CHROME BUMPERS AND FASTENERS. NEW TRIM AS NEEDED. NEW WINDSHEILD. NEW DOOR GLASS. ALL NEW FOAM AND SEAL RUBBER COMPONENTS. NEW LIGHTS. LENSES. FLIP GAS CAP COVER. LOOKS BEAUTIFUL IN THE GARAGE AND OUTDOORS. THE PICTURES DO NOT DO THIS JUSTICE. LOOKS BETTER IN PERSON.   NEW GRILL COMPONENTS. COBRA TRIM. SHELBY MIRRORS. CHIN SPOILER AND HOOD SCOOP.  

REAR DIFFERINTIAL

FORD 9 INCH WITH NEW INTERNALS.   NEW CURRIE DIFF. TRACTION LOCK. 3. 75 RATIO. NODULAR CASE. REAR AIR SHOCKS WITH SEPERATE AIR LINES. LARGER BUMP STOPS TO WORK WITH THE LARGE 275 REAR TIRES. SHELBY TRACTION BARS BOLT TO REAR AND WELD TO SUBFRAME FOR STRENGTH.   THE AXLES ARE 31 SPLINE PERFORMANCE RATED.   NEW LEAF SPRINGS AND MOUNTING HARDWARE.

MECH SEC.   DOME TOP PISTONS. 11 TO 1 RATIO. CRANE 1. 73 RATIO ROLLER ROCKERS. NEW T STAT. HOLLEY FUEL PUMP. FILTER. BOSS 302 POLISHED VALVE COVERS. NEW PLUGS. WIRES. ELECTRONIC DISTRIBUTOR. REV LIMITER WITH ADJ SETTINGS. CUSTOM CERAMIC HEDDERS. NEW BATTTERY. CABLES. MINI HIGH TORQUE STARTER.   NEW GRIFFIN CUSTOM RADIATOR TO ACCOMIDATE BOSS 302 WATER PUMP STYLE COOLING.   HAS FLEX FAN THAT RUNS AT ABOUT 195 TO 200 DEGREES ON A 85 DEGREE DAY.   NEW COOLANT AND OIL. ALL NEW FASTENERS TRIM AS NEEDED.   I RUN A MIX OF 110 OCTANE AND 93 OCTANE.   I FEEL THIS WILL RUN FINE ON 93 BUT YOU MAY NEED ADJUST TIMING BACK A LITTLE. CAMSHAFT IS SCHNEIDER RACING CAMS . 274 DURATION. BOSS 302 GRIND.
