EXTERIOR
Finished in classic RS Olympic Blue. (Code E) this genuine RS2000 is truly outstanding. Amazing detailing throughout and extending to the engine bay will please the most critical of owners and onlookers. AVO workmanship is laid bare for all to see. The chrome. rubbers. and badges are in immaculate order with the distinctive wide decals adding the perfect RS look as delivered by the Ford RS Dealer in 1974. The bonnet decal has minor wrinkles in a few places. All the glass is number plate etched from new and the original supplying dealer. W R Davies Ltd number plates and rear window sticker are still attached. The underside is not detailed making this a usable specimen as Ford intended. A collection of awards are documented from ‘Best RS2000' at the AVO Owners Club National Day in 1997 to ‘Highly Commended' at the same event in 2008 will give the owner an insight into the quality of this highly sought after example.

INTERIOR
True and exact in every respect to a Ford RS2000 interior with incredible attention to detail. The brushed nylon RS sports seats with optional headrests match a spotless loop pile carpet throughout and unmarked door cards. The rare Kienzle clock housed within the optional RS centre console is inoperative and joins the varnished wood dealer fit trim which is immaculate. All the other sports instrumentation functions providing at a glance concise information and even the Ford LW/MW radio works. The dealer tax disc holder is firmly attached to the front screen. The boot area continues the showroom experience with a genuine Ford jack in the correct unpainted blue and neatly wrapped in the hessian bag resting on an impossible to source genuine boot mat. One for the RS connoisseur wanting to enjoy this motoring legend.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Prepare for gasps of amazement as onlookers marvel under the bonnet of this Escort RS2000. The 2. 0 Ford ‘Pinto' unit offers ample performance thanks to a downdraught compound twin-choke Weber carburettor and a free-flow exhaust manifold so 100bhp and 0-60mph in 9. 0 seconds with a top speed of 108mph is possible. The single selector rail shift four speed synchromesh gearbox offers short. positive snappy gear changes and is an absolute delight to use.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
5 ½ J X 13” RS alloy wheels are fabulous and shod in matching Goodyear Eagle NCT70 175/70 R13 tyres. An unused spare is strapped and angled in the boot on the correct RS wheel. The direct acting vacuum servo assistance dual-line braking system works effectively.
