The 1989 Corvette was the last year of the C4's digital cockpit.  It was ahead of its' time. The new C7 returns to a very bold digital instrument panel - pioneered by this very car.
This 1989 Corvette has only 38750 miles on it. It will celebrate its' Silver Anniversary in June. I believe the miles to be correct. I got the car last summer while waiting on my C7.  (Um. still waiting).  Corvette World of Dallas did some minor work on the car for me last summer.  They fixed the headlight (rotation) motors. repaired a wheel hub. replaced an exhaust support bracket. repaired & recharged the AC and installed a new battery.  That was all it really required to be a very good. dependable ride.
The bodywork is in like new shape.  New soft top recently installed. Opens & closes very easy.  Leather interior is in wonderful shape - no tears. not even heavy wear on the bolsters.  I can see where the body paint has been touched up in a very few places. mostly on the hood due to rock throw damage. The wheel hubs with the C4 logo all have scrapes on them.  All 4. (See pics. )  I can't figure out how this happened - unless they were stored poorly and were damaged in various moves about the garage.
Engine is super clean and no evidence of rust on the car. Recently passed all inspections. No blue smoke when started.  Heater and AC work great.  Bring out your old cassettes - stereo works fine. All electrical gadgets seem to work fine - but I will be honest. I haven't tried every possible combination of seat adjustments.
The one thing I would fix (will fix if it doesn't sell). is to replace the (working) digital dash with a re-manufactured copy that projects brighter.  The present one is fine - even in daylight with the top down.  I just would like a brighter screen.  Plus the fuel gauge tends to stick on "full".  This could a problem with the dash or the sensor in the tank.  The new digital dash for the gauges run $350 to $700.  They are easy to repair.  Heck even "Wheeler Dealers" had an episode on the C4 and showed how to replace the gauges.
In the end though. you should come check out the car in person.  (The car is located 20 minutes from DFW Airport in Texas. ) I make no warranty. implied or otherwise.  It is a beautiful car. The best color combination for a Corvette. The picture on prices come from the industry recognized Corvette magazine in the Spring of this year.  My price fits in between the top two tiers.  Serious bidders only - please email me with questions.
