Here we have a very RARE NUMBERS MATCHING Original 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS in beautiful original condition. The mileage is just over 64. 00. While ‘exempt' because of its age. I have a clear Ohio title with mileage on it. and given it's history and condition I believe it to be true mileage.

Selling for health reasons. I had a full left knee replacement. and cannot comfortably drive the clutch…just not fun any more with the pain and strain. I LOVE this car. but have moved on to a mid-60's automatic 389 Tri-Power car.

This car is rare for a couple reasons.

1) This is a numbers matching car. Engine/Transmission/rear-end all original. Every other car I see out here has something replaced or modified.

2) This is the MUSCLE CAR version that is so hard to find. High Output (HO) 327ci / 300 HP / (Horse Power). Muncie 4 speed on the floor. NO OPTION car. NO power steering. NO power brakes. crank windows. metal dash. This is NOT the relatively easy to find "Family Car" version of the Impala SS. Usually a 283 or 327/250hp. PowerGlide Automatic car. This is the one that was "raced and wrecked". the “Stripper” as it was called in my day. This configuration is pretty much gone. This car is MUSCLE. it is engine. drive train. levers. pulleys and gears.

I have some very cool documentation. as you can see in the pictures. Including original warranty book. original registration and title work (Oklahoma car).

Here is some history. I bought the car about 2 years ago from an older gentleman in Toronto. He owned several dealerships in the area and had an extensive collection / private museum. He was getting up in years and decided to divest of some of his pieces. I believe he had this car since early 80's. It was stored in a climate controlled environment. and it showed.

He had it repainted on the way in to the factory Ember Red. The paint. as you can see in the pictures. is fantastic. There are a few pin hole / stone nicks here and there. but overall. the paint looks like creamy butter in a deep red. I personally clay barred and waxed this car when I got it. I have not washed it with water since the day I got it. It never sees rain on purpose. It lives in a 2-lift climate controlled garage with its other car friends. so it gets cleaned upside and down regularly.

Under the hood is very original. You can see the glass fuel filter bowl. the battery cables. radiator and heater hoses. valve covers. air cleaner. I installed an OEM original wiper motor/washer and master cylinder cover to complete the original package. Heck. I even installed correct shock tower covers and individually made each staple to look original and authentic.

The radiator is very special. This particular radiator. as I understand. ONLY came with one of the 409 packages OR the 327/300hp/4spd package. If you had a 327/automatic. you got the smaller radiator. This. from what I understand. is a very good indicator of the originality of this car.

The interior is in remarkable original condition. The upholstery is absolutely fabulous. And you can tell from the rolls in the vinyl that it is original. Not the cheaper looking ‘stamped' reproduction upholstery.  Headlineer is perfect.  This car looks awesome. with a certain patina you can only get with a genuine vintage interior. Look at the pics. it looks real and it looks great. The tachometer on the steering column/dash is original and it works perfectly. The radio was rebuilt and turns on just fine but is not connected to a speaker (Never cared. as I love listening to the tone of the motor!). The clock was redone and works as well. I have it connected to an ACC current so it only keeps time when the car is running. so it doesn't run down the battery. Easy re-connect to be ‘always on' if you like. I just don't have a problem resetting when I drive it to spare the battery. The carpet is new. everything else is just very original and very cool. Look at the pictures. it is in amazing condition.

Body is laser straight. See the pictures. I have been on a 2 year quest and have installed real OEM NOS (VERY EXPENSIVE) side ‘swirl' trim and hood/trunk splitters. I also found a NOS OEM front hood trim piece which look amazing. NO REPRODUCTION PARTS ON THE CAR. All original. All the glass is the original tinted glass (VERY hard to find). all the bright work around the windows and windshield is original as well and in excellent condition.

This car sat in the museum/collection warehouse for some 30 years. It was started and driven around the block pretty routinely. and I could tell that was true by how well it ran. BUT. it needed serviced from sitting. Under the hood. OEM original wires. points. condenser. distributor. plugs and a full tune up have this car running like a top. No oil burn what so ever. Starts right up and run nice and cool with that awesome large stock radiator! Underneath the car. I replaced everything that was a seal. bearing or bushing. Installed new shocks and springs. The transmission was rebuilt this year. Original gears and housing. I replaced bearings. synchro gears and seals. It is rock solid and bullet proof.   Nice glass packs have this baby sounding exactly as it should. with a very cool and healthy burble when coming down!

There was a dealer installed Mark V A/C unit under the dash which I took out. I have it in tact in boxes for the new owner to do with what they please. I wanted this car to have the clean muscle interior with the gauges. which I installed.

Overall. the car NEEDS NOTHING. It can always use a tweak here and there. but it is in absolute ‘drive away and look and sound awesome' condition.

I have several other cars. and I am finishing up a 3 year restoration on a great old Cadillac. I either need to sell this Impala or find a spot in my neighbors outbuilding. Plus with my bad knee. it just makes sense to sell this one. I will miss it very much. as it was one of the exact cars one of my buddies drove back in the mid-70's…back in the day.

I have it priced what I think is very fair given it's level of originality and overall excellent condition. It in NOT RESTORED. but continually refreshed with NOS level OEM stuff as I can find it. Awesome. original mid-60's BIG MUSCLE car. If you have been looking for one of these…here ya go. You won't find another one like this.

Email me any questions you have. If you are seriously interested. I will send you my cell phone number and we can talk. (or send me yours and I will call you). Feel free to come see it. send an inspector. whatever you need to do. It is what it is.

This car is being sold “AS IS WHERE IS” with no warranty expressed or implied. You get a clear title and you own the car. I require a $1. 00 down payment within 24 hours of winning the car with the balance due in cash or wire transfer within 5 days. I would take a certified check. but you will have to wait until the cash is CLEAR before picking up. This could take a few days.

I will take no responsibility for shipping. Although I will do everything I can to assist in the process. I live on a country road. so it is easy for a big truck to stop on the road and load the car.

I am a stellar seller out here on Ebay with a great rating. This car is real. and as described. This is a rare numbers matching 1964 Impala SS. A real time capsule

I am motivated to sell. I am looking for a fair market price on this car. BTW her name is Sally Sue.
