Specifications: ENGINE: Original GMC 228 6 cylinder fully pressurized engine. Excellent compression. starts and performs like new. Much better than Chevrolets 6 cyl. 216 of the same era. Motor# 228229551
TRANSMISSION: 3-Speed on-the-column. Fully synchronized.
BODY: Standard Short Bed Cab. 1/2 ton GMC originally marketed this truck as the FC-101 All metal- razor straight. Serial# 35949 NO RUST!! Perfect floors. kick-panels cab corners etc.
Beautiful original grill. front bumper and hubcaps. Brand new trim rings Original spare tire carrier Nicely restored interior in period correct finish with newly upholstered seat. brand new headliner and visors. Everything works well and as it should.
The bed wood was installed in 2006 and would need to be revarnished to be 'perfect'. Stainless steel bed stripscompliment the bed floor.
This is not a Concourse 'nut and bolt-perfect restoration' It was done in a professional body shop. (receipts provided) and built to be a dependable and beautiful restoration that could be shown and driven.
I have tried to describe this truck to the best of my ability. I am selling it to assist my daughter with collegeexpenses. This is the perfect. get in it and go truck. Dependable and fun. priced very fairly.
