Seller's notes: "Its a classic truck nearly 30 years old, body is all original in its custom two-tone metallic blue with pinstripping. It has some dings and dents, couple side glass has a crack and bb gun hits from kids. Paint on hood and top is peeling from sun age. Trans shifts good all gears, no leaks. Engine runs powerful and great mileage, has normal diesel small leaks and smells. Puffs steam from oil fill cap and seal, likely from a previous rebuild that needs to seat rings. Does not affect power or running of engine as it is my daily."

Sued me and won cause I said it drives great long distances. 1986 GMC Suburban 3/4ton 4x4 K2500 Daily Driver.
No California Smog Required
I dont need something this heavy duty. it runs and drives good. hauls 8 people with lots of room left. and gets 16-23mpg which is better than my other car. so I dont mind driving it more till I find a good buyer.  

I see the 1/2ton 1500 models selling for half at $2500. hardly ever see a 3/4ton in great condition. which is what you need to truly tow any load properly without bending your frame.

Pretty rare model 1986 GMC Suburban K2500 3/4ton Diesel 4x4 aka " K20 " tailgate style. I dont like the other "Barn Door" types.

I have upgraded and changed some things on it myself and have reciepts. new gas tank. new fuel sending unit. fuel filters. oil changes. and electric fuel pump.

This was built just like its cousin the H1 Hummer HMMWV . same drivetrain.

The 6. 2L diesel can be directly swapped out for the newer 6. 5L Turbo Diesel or any Chevy gas motor like a 350 400 SBC 454 BBC and Vortec engines. same motor mounts and same trans pattern. just swap to a higher stall torque converter and clean all the diesel from the tank and lines. easy.

I have the 86 Dealer handbooks and warranty cards. along with the custom spec sheet for the special upgrade options this came with.
