This 1932 Ford Roadster is not your cookie-cutter basic.


This Car was in the 2008 Grand Nationals in California - it took outstanding overall Rod and best in class. In 2009 at the ISCA-world of wheels New Orleans it took best in show. The Silver Bullet took Best in show and Best Rod at the 2009 Event in Spokane. Washington. At the ISCA- Boise 2009 It was awarded outstanding engine. outstanding interior. outstandin undercarriage. and outstanding paint. and all the same awards in Portland. Oregan. At the Tennessee Shades of the Past the car took top 25 which is unheard of by non sponsered contestants. The Car was then featured in Street Robd Builder Magazine in the Center fold. The Car took Best in Show at the New Orleans Back to the Beach Comp. In 2010 The Finals in Houston. Tx it came in 5th in the country. 1st place was a 2. 2million dollar car. secon was 1. 8 million dollar car. and 3rd wash a 1. 2million dollar car. This Silver Bullet 1932 Ford Roadster as been the only car that starts backs out of the trailer turns left and right and drives on the spot for judging. The car Runs like a dream and only has 350 miles on it. In 90% of the competitions it has entered into. it has been the only car to start and drive on the spot. “This Deuce rides on a 106 inch wheel base on a custom Pyramid-built frame. The rails are inched in front and narrowed in the rear. with a tubular X-bracing section in between. The rear axle is a Mark Williams nodular 9-incher. widened and packed with 4. 11 gears. The assembly rides on a four link suspension with stainless steel bars and Aldan coilovers. Wildwood disc brakes with polished calipers tuck inside the massive 15X14 inch E. T. III five spoke wheels. These larger wheels wear similarly large tires: 31X18. 50 15LT Hoosier Quick Time DOT's. A custom Jim Hume aluminum fuel cell dominates the trunk area.

Chromed Magnum 5 inch drop tube axle. again fitted with stainless four-bars and Aldan coilovers. The front brakes are polished Wildwood calipers: a Wildwood master cylinder completes the braking system.

Cam Tech built a set of custom backing plates for the front axle. and Mullins supplied the billet aluminum steering box. The box turns a 15X6 inch pair of 10 spoke ET III wheels carrying 25X7. 5 OR-15LT Hoosier tires.

Fully built Hemi with Keith Black aluminum block. Meridian Performance's Tyler King performed the machine work and assembly. loading the block with Mopar performance crank. Ross racing pistons and Manley H-beam rods. Stainless valves and ray Barton billet rockers fill out the Mopar Performance aluminum heads; Comp ground the cam shaft.

Hillborn/BDS injection tops the engine to combine classic looks with cutting edge performance.

Kenny Gilmore designed the over-the-frame headers using 2 – 1/8  inch primaries; exhaust consists of header dumps or  set of Flowmaster mufflers and 3 inch pipes. MSD ignition controls lighting the fuel mixture.

The only parts of the engine that aren't plated or polished include the spark plug wires and a few rubber hose couplers here and there.

The valve covers are Ray Barton aluminum pieces with modifications from Cam Tech. The MSD alternator and Mopar water pump shine. Even the bolts are ARP 12 point stainless parts.

Behind the aluminum Hemi is a 727 Torqueflite automatic prepared at Dynamic Racing Transmissions. Dynamic paired the trans with one of its own 10 inch converters and then added a polished aluminum drive shaft. Like the engine block. the transmission case is polished and the fluid makes its way through dual B&M coolers installed using custom mounts.

The engine augments the styling of the steel Brookville Roadster body. The rear wheel arches are raised 2 ½ inches and the rear of the body features a custom Al Swedburg-built roll pan.

Kenny Gilmour crafted the hood and dual rollbars are present behind the seat.

Bruce Sorenson painted the car Sherwin Williams Mercedes McLaren Silver before Steve Hernandez buffed and polished the paint. Mitch Kim added the modest and tasteful pinstriping on the decklid and grille shell.

Bob Drake headlights and Pontiac tail lights have an appropriate and timeless look. Dan Fink built the grille. and the windshield frame is from So-Cal.

Gabe's Custom Interiors in Bloomington. California provided the upholstery work. customizing the single bench seat and covering in Blood Red leather. The door panels are highly sculpted and finished in a mixture of leather and paint to match the body. Steve Skuhra widened the dash 2 ½ inches and it features a painted outer section with an upholstered insert containing classic instruments gauges. The steering wheel is a four-spoke Budnik piece. with tapered holes running the length of the polished spokes. and a red leather rim.   A custom center console houses the B&M ratcheting shifter.   Silver competition style harnesses hold the driver and passenger secure in their seats.

The five years' worth of planning and effort involved in this car's construction is obvious at first glance. Clearly. nbsp; this roadster is no thrown-together 1-800parts or whatever happened to be handy in the shop as the car was  being built. This car demands attention. and with the striking silver and red color scheme. it's impossible not to comply. ”
