OOPS! ebay cancelled the earlier posting because I offered a trade.

NOTE: There appears to be a great deal of controversy surrounding TRUE MARKET VALUE for these original Good Humor Trucks. We have the following comps to verify restored values:

1965 FORD GOOD HUMOR TRUCK (restored) sold at RM auctions for $66. 00. 00 in Dec 2012.
More recently a fully restored 1958 Chevy (Melody Ice Cream truck. NOT Good Humor) with small box. sold for $47. 00 after being advertised in Hemmings Motor News.

Complete. ORIGINAL and RARE: Photos were all taken on JUNE 10th. 2014.
1966 FORD F-250 Good Humor Ice Cream Truck. SAME OWNER SINCE 1994. ORIGINAL Plans for the Hackney Construction are INCLUDED.
1966 FORD ORIGINAL HACKNEY GOOD HUMOR ICE CREAM TRUCK. This truck has its original SIX cylinder & AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. This is a COMPLETELY ORIGINAL. RUST FREE vehicle. (except for BLACK paint of course) Acquired in 1994 from a retired F. B. I. agent that was looking for a complete mental diversion from his law enforcement career. He acquired the truck from a local radio announcer "SHOTGUN TOM KELLY" who painted it BLACK as a novelty and then used it for public relations and promotion for the radio station.
When we acquired it. we added hand pin striping and HAND PAINTED sides and rear.   The rear access door to the box was removed and interior cleaned and stainless racks installed. The graphics on all sides are FAR SUPERIOR to any “decals” that you would obtain today.
For several seasons. we had lots of fun at car shows. selling (GOOD HUMOR) ice cream that would stay ROCK HARD for more than TWO days at temperatures down to 40 degrees BELOW ZERO. long after it was disconnected from shore power at the warehouse. Those "cold plates" DO WORK!
Sharing this truck with on lookers that remembered buying ice cream off these trucks in their local neighborhoods is a real blast! Confidentially. they could care less WHAT we charged for the ice cream. Normal day was $400-$500. Cool…. NOW: The compressor which runs on 220V still operates but does not get super cold. so we would suggest a re-charge with a newer generation refrigerant to improve cooling and if the COPELAND compressor ever needed replacement. it is readily obtainable as an exchange unit from refrigeration vendors. The system does not leak and has NOT been purged and still holds R-12 which can be easily converted to a more efficient and economical modern refrigerant.
The truck has been safely stored covered. more than 10 years now. It is routinely serviced and a new fuel pump and the original FOMOCO 2BBL carburetor was recently rebuilt. Brakes are good with no fluid leaks. The truck starts EVERY TIME. idles promptly and sounds strong on "REV". The transmission has a few leaks from sitting. but there is no slippage and will probably seal up with driving. as it was that same way. when we originally purchased the unit.   CONDITION DETAILS: 1) It is being sold WITHOUT a battery. which we can buy for your transport. The 16. 5 tires are beyond roadworthy and pricing reflects the need to replace them. The paint is still high gloss and was a high quality job when applied. but aged more than 20 years now. it is far from SHOW perfect.   2) PLEASE NOTE: While this truck is EXTREMELY RARE and a highly collectible and worthwhile investment. it is being sold “AS IS - FOR PARTS ONLY. ” As a legal “technicality”.
NOTE: In addition to any agreed price. a $100 fee for Transporter Dispatch/Access. and sale documents preparation. will be charged. This fee and FULL PAYMENT must be paid BEFORE entry/access and is NON REFUNDABLE. A maximum of $500 to paypal for a deposit.   For the record: This sale shall be governed by the laws of California. The venue of sale is San Diego. California. PAYMENT: U. S. Funds - ANY KIND is OK ! We invite your phone call to discuss particulars for your acquisition of this fun and collectible professional vehicle.
