1959 Corvette Dual Quad 283/245 HP 4 Speed

You are viewing a very original factory dual quad 245 horse Corvette that has been NCRS judged with a 96 point Top Flight Certificate and score sheets.   103. 00 original miles with major work done to the car in the last two years.   The car represents a lot of originality as it sits and runs and drives excellent.

Body/Paint:  The body is in overall very good condition.   A few imperfections here and there. but very presentable.   Second paint was done a number of years ago as original Roman red single stage lacquer.   The paint is a 7/8 out of 10 and is overall very good condition.   Some chips. but very presentable.   Weather stripping has been replaced.   

Interior:  The interior is primarily original with exception of the carpet. seat belts and dash pad being replaced that look like new.   Very presentable with a few imperfections here and there.   Heater core and associated parts have been replaced.   Works excellent.   Clock works.   Original Wonder bar radio does not work.   Everything else works on the car.     

Top:  The top has been replaced with minor signs of wear. but in excellent condition with nice weather stripping.   The top fits excellent.   Window is nice and clear.   No hard top.     

Running Gear: 283/245 horse power dual quad engine totally rebuilt including original correct WCFB carbs and intake.   Original dual point distributor.   Correct shielding.   Five blade fan installed for better cooling with original fan that comes with the car.   New clutch. pilot bushing and throughout bearing.   Four speed T10 transmission totally rebuilt with stock shifter.   Rear end is open 370 gears with new bearings.   New driveline and U joints. original driveline comes with car.

Suspension/Frame:  The entire suspension has been rebuilt.   New tire rods and ball joints. control arms. idler arm. front and rear springs. swivel bearing. Kingpins rebuilt. new shocks.   The frame is clean in excellent condition with date stencil on frame rail driver's side.   The entire undercarriage is super clean and looks excellent.   Cars drives very nice and smooth like when new.  

Brakes:  Rebuilt including master cylinder.   Works and stops excellent.  

Exhaust:  New exhaust with correct mufflers.  

Bright work:  All bright work. stainless and chrome. are in very good to excellent condition both interior and exterior.  

Glass:  Windshield has been replaced with original side glass in very good overall condition.  

Wheels/Tires:  Wheels are black as original 15X5 correct rivet style wheel with front GM logo.   Tires are new radials 225/75-15 inch.   Spare with correct lug wrench. jack swivel handle and scissor jack.

Recent major work done to the car:  The following list of rebuilt items were all done in 2012 in the last two years with 3. 00 miles since completed.   Over 20K was spent on restoring these items.   Engine/carbs. Trans/clutch. driveline. rear end/bearings. entire suspension. shocks. brakes. exhaust. tires and alignment. along with some miscellanies items.   All supported with receipts.   The NCRS judging was done in 2009 3 years prior to the major recent work done on the car with the car in much better running condition now as when judged.
