Up for auction is my '64 Rambler American Convertible. It is a northern California. no rust ever. no accident. 3 owner car. It was originally white with a green interior. Now it is Black with houndstooth interior. The previous owner did the paint & top. It is a very good amateur job. no drips or orange peel. The stripes were HOT PINK (for his wife). I covered them with decals. It had a 196ci. 3 speed OD.  manual steering. and drum brakes. 3 years ago I had the drive train upgrades done.  It now has a 200 HP Jeep 4. 0 Liter. 4 speed automatic. 3 core radiator. front disc brakes. and power rack & pinion steering. The engine and transmission are out of a 1993 Jeep Cherokee. The disc brakes are Kelsey Hayes. The Rack & pinion is a "Ford Thunderbird power rack" from Summit. The engine compartment & undercarriage are clean & detailed. For more details please check out its webpage.

It runs and drives great. But it is NOT a perfect trailer queen. About a year after the engine swap. my mechanic left town. There are still some odds and ends that could use attention. I just received the new. heavy duty front springs & shocks from Kennedy American. The old ones are OK. but it will be a lot better once you put the new ones in. All the lights. horn. gauges. wipers windows work. The speedometer should be callibrated (it shows 8 to 10 mph slow) & the odometer was never set. The power top pump is new. But the rams haven't been bled.  It goes up & down quickly but is still difficult to latch. The power steering pump has a leak. I haven't got around to having it fixed.  The car originally had the rare 1964 factory AC. The Jeep engine still has it's compressor mounted. I have not reconfigured it. I do still have the 1964 under dash unit. The heater core was also rebuilt. but has not been ducted yet. There is a scrape in the clear coat on the upper rear fender (passenger side).  I'll try to take a pic. but it's hard to make it show. I do have an extra hood and trunk lid (if you hate the stripes). They would have to be sanded/blasted & repainted.
