Austin Seven Special Sports
Welcome to my auction for my Austin seven sports. This appears to be a hand made special based on a 1932 Austin seven chassis. The logbook describes it as a 'Sports' . The Chassis number is 155734. As you can see from the pictures plenty has been done to it over the years. It has a hand made aluminium body in a boat tail style. The engine has had some modifications. not all of which I am aware. It does have +. 60 pistons. new ones where added when the engine was overhauled. The wheels are the wider versions and the fronts have been altered for racing (so I've been told). It has an unusual Dante manifold with a Solex carburretor and 4 branch exhaust.  It ran very well indeed when in use 2 years ago. out performing the local Austin seven club cars on road runs. I used it to travel 30 + miles for shows and it ran well until the carb blocked. This was sent away to UK carbs for cleaning and overhauling with a Solex kit. Since it has been back we have not had the time to re commision it to get it running again. However it should only require a small amount of tinkering to get going again. It was originally red when I got it and it was stripped ready for re spraying but I decided I liked the 'distressed' bare aluminium look. If you wish to spray it all the had work has been done.
