1969 Chevelle. This car started life as a Big Block SS 396 and after finding #4 cylinder was cracked the decision was made to go BIG! The Chevelle  was restored to resemble a sleeper "COPO" style in a very authentic and detailed manner. The restoration itself is 4 years old and has only been driven a few times since it's full frame off restoration. The restoration included all of the body work being completed on a rotisserie. The quarter panels. trunk floor and partial interior floors were replaced with high quality sheet metal. The frame was media blasted. checked for straightness then powder coated in chassis black. The body has several coats of PPG Primer. Base and Clear coat. The body color is Garnet Red which is an original 69 Chevelle color. All of the suspension components were either replaced or completely restored. All of the hardware (Nuts. Bolts. Washers etc) were replaced with new hardware from AMK. The rear controls arms are original SS boxed and are powder coated. The rear end is a 12 bolt posi traction that was completely overhauled. a new ring and pinion was installed with 3:73 gears. The rear brakes are drums that were replaced using the "fully loaded" sets from Inline Tube. All of the brake and fuel lines. clips are replacement from Inline Tube. the fuel line is 3/8. the fuel tank and attaching hardware were replaced as well. The transmission is a close ratio Muncie 21 "rock crusher". it was completely rebuilt. all of the linkage and shifter was replaced with a Hurst Competition setup. Front brakes are Disc with an original restored Delco Moraine booster. original master cylinder with speed bleeders and a hold off valve. All four of the front control arms were media blasted. painted chassis black with new bushings and ball joints installed. All of the tie rod ends. center link and all other steering components were replaced. The front sway bar is an original SS part that was powder coated. A quick ratio original (restored) steering box was installed. The radiator is an original 69 big block radiator that was restored and painted. The engine block is a date coded correct 427 block GM Block # 3963512. all of the internal were replaced. the engine was professionally balanced. the lifters are Hydraulic. The heads are GM 3919840. all of the springs. rockers. retainers etc were replaced. the seats were replaced with hardened ones for unleaded fuel. The Intake manifold is an original 69 GM Aluminum GM 3963133 with the winters foundry stamp. Fuel is pushed into the engine with an original dual feed Holley 4346 GM 3959164 that was expertly rebuilt and restored by Holley. The exhaust manifolds are original 69 Chevelle 427 manifolds. Air is pushed through the engine via a Gardner exhaust system that is correct in every way right down to the hangars and clamps. The Battery is a reproduction sealed red cap battery with spring cables. The interior is original in every way with the exception of a Custom Autosound retro radio with Ipod and USB link. Power Steering is connected to a tilt steering column and a Rosewood Steering Wheel. A center console sits between original bucket seats. Power is put to the ground through 15 inch steel wheels that are covered in "Dog Dish" hubcaps and wrapped in reproduction bias ply Oval GT tires from Coker. The car carries no SS badges and is intentionally styled to look like a sleeper. No expense was spared in putting this car together. the overall restoration took almost 2 years to complete. since restoration the car has been sparingly driven with less than 100 miles put on it in total. As you would expect from a car of this quality it runs and drives better than it did when it was new. Full PDF Appraisal which values the car at over 62k - available upon request - email for a copy.
