This extremely attractive . numbers matching. and well maintained 33. 00 mile Mach 1 is positively a gem and packing at least 100 extra ponies !  Originally sold new in California on  April 17 . 1973 by Dick Lewis Ford Sales Inc. Vacaville Ca.   . it made it's way to the East Coast in the early 1990's  by a Military officer who had it resprayed and refreshed . The engine was slightly modified with a Holley 4bbl Carburetor. Electric fuel pump and a MSD ignition was added along with new dual exhaust . The engine is quick and responsive and seems to have an upgraded Cam giving a bit more low end torque over a stock 351 Cleveland 2bbl. It runs smooth and strong and pulls you hard back in the seat the moment you foot the gas pedal ! The FMX automatic transmission shifts smooth and steady and begs to chirp the rear wheels at shift point 1 and 2 !  It has a 2:75 rear ratio with Traction Loc  posi traction . This is a great road touring ratio with plenty of stop light punch that won't have you eyeballing the gas gauge every 6 miles !  

The body is in excellent condition with no rust and the Blue Glow Special Option Color in 1973 ( paint code 3k ) is high gloss with a deep glowing metallic luster . Only a few minor chip touch ups that are present and not too obvious to see. The under carriage is clean and dry and well preserved.
 
This Mach has either had a color change or as I have read the special option Blue Glow may have been an order change during production . The Buck tag states the color code as 9A ( Wimbledon White )  .   The car has no trace of being a white car throughout . Whatever the case may be it is a correct color for the 1973 Mach 1 and glowing it is !  

             I have the Marti Report and will include it with the Sale .

The Suspension is taught and stable. All front end bushings and ball joints are fresh and greased. The power steering and power disc brakes perform perfectly and this car has had a 2013 New York State inspection. All lights and turn signals work properly as well as the gauges and speedo and interior light. The car goes down the road straight and tight and is very responsive .  

It rides on 4 Cooper Cobra 215/ 70 / 14  with OEM Magnum 500 wheels with chrome rings . They are fresh as new with a few minor dings on 2 of the rings . Not bad for 41 years of parking!  

The interior is Fresh and still looks great. The black vinyl high back bucket seats at firm and very comfortable. The rear seats are barely used and this Mach has the Rare fold down back seat option!! A big deal in the Golf and Collector car World as well as for late night Parking!

Another option this car was built with from the factory was Air Condition. Unfortunately the A/C compressor is not present. All the vital components are still present making it a simple refit back if so desired.
