Selling my 1989 Daihatsu Hijet. Mini VAN. It reads 3577 kilometers now. so I believe it is the original miles. Runs & drives great!  All 4 tires are good.   The truck does not have spare tire( it is usually mounted underneath the bed. )

It is 4 speed. manual transmission . No smoke that I know of at all.  

 There are no cracks in any glass anywhere. Truck is almost perfect. . but it is almost 25 y/o  . solid mini van. that will hold it's value for years if not abused. Go anywhere. haul anything!

Heater/defroster work fine. Wipers. lock & unlock with key .   All window & door handles work . it is missing rear passenger handle. No noise from the front axle joints.

All parts are easily available right here in the US. Most basic things like plugs. filters. belts & hoses are normal for any parts house.

Can I drive it on my streets?"  Answer: ASK YOUR LOCAL AUTHORITIES. I do not know what your local laws are. Personally. I would just insure it & treat it like a farm vehicle (tractors can go anywhere) and stick to the back-roads. or use it on private property. I will give you a FLORIDA TITLE  were it shows that this mini was only titled back in  1989(one owner). I bought it a few months ago for resale from the City of St Pete. I understand you can ask for all the van records to the CITY OF SAINT PETE FLORIDA. The reason it appear to have so little miles is that it was only used for special event on the downtown area as a mini ambulance . No back seat but I will included one from an  Expedition for you to install it in the back. New paint. the original was in good shape but it was white/red)

The seventh generation Hijet (S80) was a gradual development of its predecessor. introduced in May 1986. [2] The biggest change was the switch to a more modern three-cylinder engine. the EB. although displacement remained just under 550 cc. It was also built in South Korea since 1992. by Asia Motors. as the "Towner". This version was later badged "Kia Towner". subsequent to Kia's takover. These vans were only exported to certain markets (such as Malta and Chile). according to the licensing agreement. Beginning in 1992. Innocenti also built this car for European markets as the "Porter". especially to circumvent restrictions on Japanese imports in some markets like Italy. This version has long outlived the original Hijet and is still in production. Unlike the Hijet. the Porter has also been available with a diesel option. The Japanese market Hijet continued to also be available in the "Jumbo Cab" configuration. but new was the "Deck Van" - a version of the four-door van with a very short cargo bed in the rear. This version was also sold as the Daihatsu Atrai Deck. [2] Export market Hijets generally received Daihatsu's familiar 993 cc three-cylinder engine. while domestic versions had to make do with 550 cc due to the strict Kei rules. Following new Kei car regulations in early 1990. the Hijet was updated accordingly. As with all its brethren. it gained ten centimetres (3. 9 in) in overall length and 110 cc in displacement. This was enough to give it a new chassis code. S82. This version continued in production until being replaced
