1966 MUSTANG GT....PONY INTERIOR...V8...POWER STEERING

MILEAGE: 26923reading today and I'm sure you can add another 100. 00.

TITLE: Clear title in hand and the VIN matches the numbers on the car.

HISTORY: All I can tell you is that the car belonged to a man from Indianapolis. indiana. My car restorer friend found it for me.

HAS THE CAR EVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT?

Not that I can tell. the title does not state anything and I see no bends or wrinkles in the frame members.

 
HISTORY: No history at all. my description is based on what I see and was told and what the title says.

ENGINE: The car was born with a 289 cubic inch engine and it still has the original. I hear no knoks and no pings and see no blue smoke. The carburetor is a 2 barrell Ford 2100. the hoses and belts look good to me.

TRANSMISSION: Its a Ford C4 automatic 3 speed. It shift good to me.

PAINT:  The paint is nice driver quality. it is wilbalton white. metallic. The side stripes are GT style. I consider the paint very nice. no dents. no dings. no rust bubble and to me the car is stright to look down the sides. With a critical eye inspection you may find a spec or tiny flaw. some touched up chips. but it is nice paint.

INTERIOR: The Pony interior is not brand new. but good. The headliner is very nice. the carpet good and the dash pad has no cracks. The trim is painted decent. but it is not new. The seat covers are not new. but very usable. they do have some discoloring from age and there is a little split in the bottom of the rear.

CHROME: All the chrome is very presentable.

GLASS: All the windows roll up and down good. we had to fix one rear. The windshield has no chips or cracks. but it does have a faint wiper mark.

EXHAUST SYSTEM: GT style tips out the back. the mufflers has a little deep Muscle Car sound and the headers are full tube type.

REAR-END: Its a 8 inch Ford with no whines or growls. it has a good highway gearing.

STEERING: The car drives good for a early Mustang. it is power steering. It had a minor leak at the return power steering hose. I tightened it and stopped most of it. The early Mustang power steering was not great in my opinion. its hard to stop all the weeps.

WHEELS AND TIRES:  The wheels are Ford Style Steels and they look fine. the tires are good radials.

BRAKES: The stop good for drum brakes all around. they are not power.

RADIO: AM/FM with CD.

UNDERSIDE: The frame estentions look solid. I see no rusty holes. I think it looks solid. it is ugly. it has not been painted and detailed.

HOW IS THE PANEL FIT? Its normal early Mustang and not perfect. The headlight buckets don't fit perfect. I did install a couple of missing screws after I took the pictures and they are better. The hood gap is off on the passenger side. I did adjust and shim after the pictures and it looks a little better.

LIGHTS: Headlights. tail light. turn signals and brake lights work. The under dash interior lights work. but the door lights do not work.

GAUGES: The gas gauge works. the oil and temp work.

WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS HORN IS NOT WORKING!
