Seller's notes: "This '48 Chrysler New Yorker is in very good original condition. It is an unrestored "survivor" with only 37,000 original miles. The Highlander interior is in excellent condition with only one 2 inch split in the leather trim at the driver's seat. Original paint & chrome are in very good condition. Radio works but clock does not."

You are bidding on one of the nicest SURVIVOR 1948 Chrysler New Yorker's still in existence today. This vintage. low-mileage sedan with suicide doors is all original and unrestored. The In-Line 8 cylinder engine runs & drives well. The Fluid-Drive transmission works great and shifts properly. The original factory paint and the interior are in the best condition you could hope for on a original classic car. The Highlander interior is a rare option that compliments the rest of the car and always turns heads. when on display. The chrome bumpers & trim is all original. with no pitting or rust. Tires. glass. carpet. door panels. dash. headliner are in high quality condition.

Purchased in 2009 from the Hendershaw Collection in California. Always garaged with limited summer use to weekend Car Shows. Recipient of many awards including AACA Senior Award 2010 and First Place in it's class at Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals 2009 & 2010.

Comes complete with custom-fit car cover. original painted beauty-rings. 1948 owner's manual. Chrysler Shop Manual and original bill of sale (dated February 1949).

This 1948 post-war "time capsule" is a pleasure to drive and proud to show.
