Last of the line W129 series. with the V6 2. 8 litre engine.

Supplied new by Greenfields Mercedes Benz of Shropham during the early summer of 1999. the car was ordered by its original owner to a very high specification which included:

Leather Seating.

Rear Seat in leather.

Headlamp wash-wipe.

Wood trimmed Burred Walnut gear stick.

Cassette Compartment.

AMG Alloy wheels. 17 inch.

Sump Guard.

Mercedes Benz Velvet Overmats.

Naturally the car has factory fitted Climate control. Abs breaking as standard.

Suffice to say not too much was left off the extras box. the original owner writing out a cheque for some £70. 00's.

The original owner of the car owned the Mercedes for the first 11 years. then with retirement to Guernsey. it was sold to the second owner in December 2010.

Always garaged the car can only be described as near mint throughout. an often over used adjective. but not in this case.

I have all the necessary paperwork for the car to be returned to UK mainland registration. an easy process and one carried out often by myself. with this experience I am able to help the new owner with this straight forward procedure.

UK VAT has been paid on the car.

Condition of the Car:

Interior

Finished in Black Nappa leather. the interior still retains that 'new car smell' Only some minor creases on the driver seat gives it away the car has actually been used. It is superb! Original Mercedes overmats have been fitted from new.

Everything works as it should.

This model. being a last of the line has the chrome ringed individual instruments.

The boot compartment appears never to have been used.

The jack has never been taken out. the spare unused. the tools still unmarked!

Mechanics:

The engine bay would win prizes! It is completely original and of near show quality.

The car starts up first time. runs beautifully and is extremely smooth. The 5 speed automatic gearbox is exactly as it should be with seamless changes.

This model has the V6 2. 8 litre engine combining a top speed of 144mph along with 30 mpg.

Paintwork/Bodywork:

Finished in Brilliant Silver metallic. the body and paintwork are near unmarked. perhaps a stone chip touched in. but nothing less than stunning.

The hard top is perfect. as is the hood. which I suspect has spent most of its life down.

The extremely expensive factory fit AMG alloy wheels are as new. not even a mark on the rims!

Tyres all have 7mm of tread left.

A much underrated model. and as time passes it is getting harder and harder to find respectable examples. let alone cars with low miles and few owners. This example will last a lifetime. and could be used as an everyday or weekend car. but will provide very loyal service.
