NO RESERVE - BID TO WIN

Description

Here is your chance to own a true classic! It is a great daily driver and everything works as it should. These 3. 0 CS's are starting to be hard to come by. and I am offering it at a no reserve starting price that is way below the NADA Classic Car Value. See this link to the NADA website that has the current available values:

http://www. nadaguides. com/Classic-Cars/1973/BMW/3-0CS/2-Door-Coupe/Values

This 3. 0 CS is not a concourse show car. but a great classic that is restored to be used daily and will appreciate in value over time. You can drive it as is and have people stop you and ask you about it.

It has power windows & power sunroof that all work as they should. the original radio turns on and works. but no speaker is connected. Instead I have installed a modern stereo in the glove box with bluetooth and iPod connection.  It also has factory AC (which blows ice cold). The previous owner told me that it was converted to 134a. AC Compressor bushings were replaced.  The heat works as well.

The brakes were just done within the last year. nbsp;and stop the vehicle without pulling to the left or right. Rebuilt front calipers and new pads.  I also had the brake master cylinder. nbsp;clutch master and slave cylinder replaced as well. All lights work. and I've added a period Hella rear foglight as well.

The car was repainted from bare metal to BMW marakesh brown metallic. which suits the car great (my opinion). The original color was fjord blue (light blue) but was in terrible shape when I got it. There are some cosmetic issues that need to be addressed if you want to make it perfect.  There are a few paint flaws on the roof (about 2-3 mm) as well as on the passanger door (quarter size).  All Glass is un-cracked.

The vehicle is also equipped with the rare Nardi wooden steering wheel. It shows some wear on top but is nice and presentable. The original jack is still present. but the toolbox is missing.

I've also added a CSL Airdam. color matched rear bumper & Hella Driving lights (painted to match). Original bumpers are included. nbsp;and are in "fair condition" with peeling chrome.

I've posted photos from before. during and after restauration here:

Rust

If you know E9s. you know that there is always rust lurking somewhere. No visible rust on this car. but hidden away there may be some. I cannot tell. If you want me to take specific photos of areas. just let me know. Whatever rust I saw on the car I had "cut out" and repaired. There is some surface rust under the car. and there was at some point a floor repair done (drivers side rear seat). It was done by the previous owner.

Some of the Imperfections:

- ill fitting underdash panel

- odometer inop

- clock inop

- 2 tires in the front do not match rear tires in tread pattern. but do in brand

- drivers interior door-panel bottom is fixed with gaffer tape

- pass door-stop needs to be replaced

- slight shimmey in steering wheel between 50-60 MPH

Mileage / Odometer

True miles are unknown. It has a 5 digit odometer that turns back to 0 after 99. 99 miles. and therefore the exact miles cannot be verified. Title list is as "true miles unknown". Odometer also currently does not work. I looked into getting it repaired but got shocked when I see what was involved in removing the gauge cluster. All other gauges work fine (with the exception of the clock)

Warranty

This vehicle has absolutely no warranty in any way (I'm sure you understand) due to the fact that this vehicle is almost 40 years old. It is sold “as is” and “where is” with no warranty expressed or implied.

Please understand that you are buying this vehicle sight unseen (unless you email me and schedule an appointment to view the vehicle).

Oakland. Seattle) is $1200 plus any taxes and fees. See this link for more information: http://matson. com/pov/booking/shipping_rates. htm

I posted my last email under "make offer." before I saw the link to ask a question, my apologies. I'm interested in the car if you still have it. When the car was stripped to bare metal, did they find much rust? Would like to talk over the phone.
Thanks,
