This is a comfortable and fun to drive street rod that can comfortably accomodate four adults and will cruise at highway speeds.  I have owned this car since January of 2001.  I purchased this car pretty much as it sits but had to go through the engine and replace gaskets and such because it had sat a lot not being driven for approximately three years.  I replaced the steering wheel with an IDIT "Banjo Wheel" and "V8" horn button which is appropriate for this year Ford.  I also upgraded the audio to a JVC AM/FM CD player with digital display and tilt face.  The face can also be removed when you leave the car.  This car was restored and rodded in 1993 by an experienced party. but not me.  The body is all steel with the original cut out roof with a vinyl top - this top does not open.  The body of the car is not cut anywhere but a slot was placed in the rear beneath the back window to install a "third" brake light which is helpful because the original taillights are not very big.  Original blue-dot glass lens are installed in the rear lights and the headlight housing is original 36 Ford metal which houses a sealed-beam conversion.  The lower horn vents have remained in place but house the front blinkers and a separate electric horn is installed behind the dash.  All four fenders are accurate design fiberglass replacements and the running boards have the steel support behind them.  The 1972 Chevrolet 400 cid small block 8 cylinder engine runs like a top and is supplied fuel by a normal 600CFM carborator.  The original builder told me there is a mild cam installed and you can hear that when the engine is running.  You can also hear the valves tapping a bit too which I am told is normal for this engine.  The engine gives a deep throaty rumble that I can listen too all day which starts at the steel chrome headers and comes out at the 3. 5" baloney chrome exhaust tips.  This 1936 Tudor Touring Sedan model has the trunk space at the back which can hold a days worth of carshow items and chairs with ease.  I replaced the original hinges and locks with reproduction hinges and locks because the originals were a little rough.  The interior is grey tweed upholstery and is an excellent job.  The rear seat is the original framework and can be a bit bouncy over railroad tracks and such.  The front seats are bucket seat frames from a BMW and are quite comfortable as is the rear seat.  The car is set up for air conditioning with the correct heater box but no condenser has ever been installed. but it could be pretty easily.  On the 1936 Ford Tudor models the front window will tilt out. the front passenger windows go down. the rear passenger windows will go straight back about 2 inches for some venting or go down about 90% of the opening available.  The car is very fast if you push it. in fact it sort of scared me the first time I did with the acceleration and noise and it sort of jumped off the line.  I have had several muscle cars and this car is fast but I rarely do anything but cruise with it.  There are only two problems I have had with the car. the first is that the blinkers quit on me and I have done everything I can think of with no positive effect.  I have restored several cars myself but this problem is hiding from me.  I planned on taking one wire at a time to trace it out and see if I can cure the problem but haven't gotten to it yet.  The second problem I have been plaqued with is a transmission fluid leak when the car sits for several weeks.  I am told that some 350 transmissions have a vent hole and if the car sits the fluid all drains back to the transmission and leaks out of the vent.  I have had the car to a transmission place and they went through it and changed the screens and such but the situation returned.  The transmission runs great but I keep a large pan under the transmission when the car is parked because transmission oil is difficult to clean up.  The reason I am selling the car is my business needs an injection of cash and I have several cars so some have to go.  This car is certainly one of my favorites so I hate to see it leave.  I can't believe you would be disappointed if you purchased the car.  I would drive the car quite a distance but I would expect the buyer would like to have the car trailered.  The expense for this will be the buyers responsibility but I will help in any way I can.  Happy bidding.
