Impala SS, an Original 283 Auto

This is an original car in remarkable condition. 45. 00 miles. Take note: High quality paint. beautiful like new trim and moldings. very fine chrome. excellent stainless around windows and crystal clear glass without hazing or even spider web scratches.  Perfect bright white headliner and visors. Trunk is clean and complete storing the spare tire. right jack and matching painted skirts.   Runs and drives excellent. It is as good as it looks.

Car's imperfections; it is 50 years old. front Chevrolet emblem not equal to the rest of the car. nbsp;weak chrome spot on rear bumper above the license plate. a hairline scratch on left rear fender. nbsp;small ding in a rear molding. parting seam on drivers seat along outer edge. radio does not play but comes on.    Small crack in dash by radio speaker.

Drivability is right at the top. No swaying. rolling or floating type feeling. Excellent brakes with high peddle. excellent engine power with no puffing. smoke. oil drips. or humming sounds. nbsp;no sense of transmission issues. no rattles. clunks or spooky noises.  

Headlights. signal lights and a nice grouping of deluxe interior lights all work. don't take it for granted. It is a pain when they don't and most of they old cars have dash lights out. not working signal lights etc. All door and window cranks are fitting tightly and work perfectly. The seats are firm and there is no appearance of sagging. The interior smalls clean and fresh. No old car smell or odor.

Heater. fan. nbsp;wipers all work perfectly. Steering is tight. console floor shifter and directional signal lever are firm and work like a low mileage car.  Power steering and brakes work excellent. Beautiful carpet and matching floor mats. Boy. it all adds up.

Paint is gleaming. very even with no buff marks. orange peal look or other disappointing excuses or marginal finish. It is deep in gloss. This is an incredibly straight body free of any dings. minor dents. ripples or poor fitting doors etc.  I assume it must be a repaint sometime in the past however no overspray. jointing or other evidence of a repaint. Door jambs. trunk. hood. hinges are dead on color with no indications or match up visible.  On a lift the underneath is standard with no paint work or detailing but no indication of any prior damage or rust issues. Fender seems along the bottoms all look good and correct showing tack welds.  The car is rust free with no bubbles or small scary spots.

This car has been hear in New Jersey for 4 years.  I have collected cars and bought cars from a collector friend now in his late 80-'s. he had them in his "modern" barn. I have each car titled and insured so  you can test drive it. The other cars I have to sell are a 76 Monte Carlo and a 76 Caddy Convertible.

I will sell to Europe. Interior storage over 3 weeks is fifty dollars per week. Sorry. I have waited 6 weeks for pickup in the past.

A caller pointed out the flag pages on the side are for a 327 so I guess someone wanted to put the badges instead of the 283 V 8 badge.
