1957 Ford Ranchero Custom truck made to look like a 1958 Edsel.

This is how the Edsel truck would of looked if it had gone into production.

As far as i know this truck was built back in the 1970's in California where i have just imported it from and recently been given a make over. It started life as a 1957 6 cyl Ford ranchero then some shop decided to unbolt the Fairlane front end and bolt on a 58 Edsel Pacer/Ranger front end. They bolt straight on as the 58 Edsel is basically a 57 Fairlane anyway. The rear lights have been changed to Edsel villager lights to give it the complete Edsel look. The interior has been done with all new head linning and door trim and the seats are from a Thunderbird. The engine is the powerfull 428 with automatic trans. Rear bumper could do with rechroming. The guy who did the conversion took his idea from the July 1958 Motor Trend magazine showing the Edsel Truck article which i have. This is probably the only Edsel truck you'll find in this country apart from a couple that have been chopped into one. Remember this is a factory made truck and not a chopped one.

Starts up and drives fine. Tyres have good tread but are cracked in the side wall so will need replacing.

I have just imported this lovely looking truck and is in the proccess of being UK registered.

I have the right to remove this from sale at any time. Thanks.

Is your 57 ranchero/edsel still available? Any estimate on shipping costs back to the states?

I think I may know of this car from back in the 1970s. It looks like one that was located in Fremont California. I first saw the car in 1973 when I got my first car, a 1958 Ford Ranchero. Having a Ford Ranchero I was obviously taken by the look of a Edsel Ranchero. If this is the same one it was owned by a young man that lived on Olive Ave in Fremont. At the time I actually thought that Edsel made a Ranchero but I soon came to realize that he had customized it. If I remember right the owner also raced pro-street in a Barracuda at Fremont Raceway.
