1960 Morris Mini Austin Mini Cooper-Rustfree Nice and Neat. Great Project for sale
Current customer rating:
This is a 1960 Morris Mini. It does not run. It does not start. It does not drive. It does not stop. It is missing parts. It has been off the road in storage for many many years. I got it down in Southern Arizona near the Mexican Border . It has a Tucson Arizona dealer emblem on it so it looks to be a Southern Arizona car since new. So it is like the desert there. Dry.
Really nice clean original body. Some surface rust on the floor pan from probably sitting for years. Nothing serious. Someone was trying to fix it up a bit. Primered the body gray from it's original light blue. Redid and repainted the seat frames. gas tank and heater box. And painted the 850 engine a weird color bright blue. And put some new knobby tires on there. I think they were for some sort of off road scooter and not really correct for 1960 Mini. But they roll fine and are better than no tires. I guess.
The rear window rear seat. radiator. ome dash stuff . ights and lenses . horn button. nd I imagine other stuff is missing. What you see is what you get. There are no other boxes and boxes of stuff stashed away. The engine and tranny are just sitting loosely in the engine bay. The stick shift lever and both axle flanges are included . The engine does not seem to turn. The plugs are out and that is never a good sign for longtime sitters. So go Vtec or upgrade the 850 to something that will move you down the road. Or figure a easy rebuild for this engine. This is as clean. rustfree . straight and original a early Mini as you will probably find out there for the money. . Pieces like this are getting harder to find. This would make a great solid rustfree Mini to work with. Full payment due within 7 days of auction end. The title is a straight clean Arizona title. The vin number on it shows FE 19691. Which is the commission stamped number above the radiator. The actual vin tag on the radiator housing is gone so the DMV must of thought this number was the correct one when they inspected it recently for title. If this is an issue. I imagine I could bring it down to my local DMV inspector and have him give an assigned Arizona Vin Number or try and get the actual Vin tag number.
Pickup here in Prescott. Arizona is encouraged. Storage till pick up is no problem. And I travel around the country picking up cars with my truck and trailer. So I might be able to get it to you or close. And no problem getting to a shipper in Long Beach for overseas export.
