1949 Packard Super 8 Club Sedan. Model # 2275-9. 22nd series. Car purchased new in Mt. Airy. NC March of 1949. spent most of its time in Virgina until recently when it moved down to S. C. Car has had a total of 3 owners. Overall condition of car is good. Car had been repainted in the late 80's and is starting to show its age. Interior was also redone at that time and is still in good condition ( no carpet). The car drives nice with new braking system. fuel pump. and rebuilt carburetor. Engine is original 327 straight eight which runs as it should and 3speed manual trans. shifts smoothly. New battery. spark plugs. spark plug wires. points. ondenser. rotor and cap. Odometer shows just under 38000 miles however do not know if this is correct. It does have OD which works . Glass has been replaced however the driver side door glass is cracked along with passenger side vent window. Stainless steel trim is in very good condition but the bumpers need to be rechromed . they are currently painted silver. All exterior lights work as does the horn. gas gage does not work. Have not checked interior lights. Have original spare tire which is not shown in pictures. Clear S. C. title

Areas of concern would be the floor boards which are rusty on the drivers and passenger side and small area in back seat area. Also small areas of rust through in spare tire well and truck floor. The rest of the body is solid.
The wiring in the engine compartment will eventually have to be replaced since the insulation is brittle and falling apart.

The car is a good driver and complete.
