1979 International Scout II Midnight Star V-8 Auto 4X4 1 of 150 Made by Good Tm

Very nice Midnight Star.   There is only a few of these left. It's hard to even find a picture of one on your PC. These were customized by Good Times in Texas after they came out of the IH plant. Yes. the hood scoop is factory.

It has a 345V-8 4 brl duel exhause with a 727 automatic trany. Dana 20 transfer case and Dana 44 axles. New 22570X15 tires. That is about the size they came with from the factory. Custom rear steel bumper and steel front bumper with brush gaurd. It just came out of the paint shop two weeks ago. Single stage dupont with hardner. All of the out side front and rear and side window panels are factory. This truck is 99% rust free. All the places that Scouts rust are not rusted. The only rust is where water leaked in the back hatch seal. and rusted a spot at the bottom of the tail gate and some rust at the back of the floor panel. I put a new weather strip seal on.

All of the interior part are what came from the factory except the door panels.  I had to replace the bottom of the drivers seat cover because it had a hole in it. I had a brown one and dyed it black. It has new factory carpet. The full lenght console has no crackes as does the dash panel. Has a eight track player that is not hooked up and I do not know if it works. The four speakers were put in by Good Times. Has new windshield.

Other things that were done:  New brakes including new shoes. heel cylinders. drums turned. front pads. caliper and one used rotor. Plus New master cylinder and brake booster.   One new AFB carb. 625 cfm with manual choke.   New plugs. Fresh oil and filter. The A/C is all there. including belt. But I have not tried to see if it will work. The exhaused is solid and sounds good. I did not have the wipers installed when I took pictures.

The Scout has a new plastic gas tank and sending unit. The tank is just like the metal factory 15 and 1/2 gallon tank. The tank also has a factory skid gaurd.  No more rusty tank and the gauge works

Things it may need: The rear shocks look pretty old. The drivers window only goes half way down. I have tried to adjust the shifter cable so that it will stay in park but I still don't have it right. I will deduct 300. 00 of the final sale price in case you have to put a new cable on. The fog lites  in front are new but not hock up. I have the new wiring and switch kit to hook them up.

I am the third owner. I have  Line set ticket. original bill of sale. owners manual and all the other books that came with it from factory
