1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 NO RESERVE Original Type Driver FJ 40 FJ-40

This FJ40 has it's original F motor that does not appear to have ever been rebuilt. It runs strong. has good compression. Clutch. trans. drive train all work as they should. I added some new parts such as shocks. clutch slave and master. minor things to make it run/drive well. The gauges all work. I drove this truck 40 miles today. no complaints. My tech went through the truck to make it operate correctly.

The body panels all appear to be original to the truck. The body lines up correctly with original parts. very important on a FJ40. Frame is excellent. original panels and frame are a good sign this vehicle has never been in a wreck. We did some of the minor rust repair. welded in new sheet metal patches. They are just tack welded in place. The rear floor was dented up from tools loaded in the back. we cut it out and put in a new straight floor. The floor is just tack welded in place. I had my fabricator do the hard part and patch in the needed sheet metal. They need to be finish welded if you plan on restoring this vehicle. The hard top is in great shape. this FJ40 body is in good shape speaking FJ40. needs some work to be perfect if that is what you are after. The windshield is cracked. the rest of the glass is good. I added some newer wheels with good BFG tires. Frame and 2 VIN tags match the title. This truck is 99% complete (can't think of any missing parts off hand. but there may be something small missing). no need to spend hours scouring the internet for parts. FJ40 parts are also very expensive.

Overall. this is a great entry level FJ40 with the coveted original doors/hardtop etc. I had my guys go through it making it safe and started in on the metal repair to make it easier for the new owner. We added any missing parts from my collection. The new owner can drive this vehicle. but this is not one of my high dollar turn-key restorations. expect to tinker and play around with it at times. that is part of the fun. This truck can be enjoyed as is. does not require restoration.

I made the claim in the add that 1969 model vehicles do not need to be "smogged" in order to get registration to drive. I usually say in my adds to check your state to be sure as the laws do change. I forgot to add that so take this as an add-on. I was emailed by an "expert" that claims 1969 does need to be smogged. Well. I know CA is pre-76 exempt. the earliest year I've heard of is 73. but if someone has actual real documented info I would love the education.
