NEARLY $50. 00+ IN RESTORATION RECEIPTS MAKE THIS ONE OF THE FINEST FJS AROUND! FINISHED IN 2009 AND TRAVELED JUST 3. 51 MILES SINCE COMPLETION! VERY SHARP EXAMPLE SHOWING ONLY 55. 64 ORIGINAL MILES! SPECIFICATIONS Year 1968 Make Toyota Model FJ40 Land Cruiser VIN T68FJ4054280 Mileage 55. 64 Engine 3. 8L Cylinders 6 Cylinder Transmission 3-speed Title Clear Color Freeborn Red Interior Color Gray DESCRIPTION The Toyota Land Cruiser was introduced as the FJ25 in Brazil in 1958 as an open top substitute to the just smaller Jeep CJ. By 1960. the Cruiser was introduced to America with a fresh F-series engine. It was dubbed the FJ40 and featured a 125 hp 3. 8L Inline 6. solid front and rear axles and a three-speed manual transmission with VERY LOW gearing. Other countries saw right-hand-drive versions as well as open. soft top and hardtop options in the choice of three wheelbases and a 2WD for Middle Eastern countries. As the longest running series in Toyota history. the Bandeirante (as it was called in Brazil) was built until 2001.

We are thrilled to offer this 1968 FJ40 Land Cruiser! Finished in Freeborn Red and showing only 55. 64 miles. this restored FJ is sure to impress! All four seats of the interior (front plus rear safari jump seats) are newly covered in Medium Gray with White accent piping. In addition. all four seats have color-matched seat belts. Other interior features include front & rear heaters. hidden Sony CD player in the glove box. and an auxiliary fire extinguisher. Outside features include a removable hardtop. folding windshield. upgraded front disc brakes. Belleview Electric 12V 6000 winch. a low-range transfer case. refinished white wheels with 265/75R16 BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. dual exterior mirrors. stub antenna. rear-mounted auxiliary fuel can & spotlight. and trailer hitch.

Originally out of Montana. this FJ40 Land Cruiser was lovingly owned for many years by the same owner until being sold on the spot at a gas station to an enthusiast onlooker. The new St. Louis owner had the FJ40 delivered to Schulze Classic Cars located in Silex. MO for a 6-month long cosmetic & mechanical restoration. Although remarkably well presented and largely free of any rust. it was treated to a body-off-frame disassembly. with the original body tub. fenders. and doors fully media-blasted and repainted. the original 237ci Inline 6 cylinder engine & transaxles rebuilt. and transmission resealed. The radiator was re-cored. suspension completely rebuilt with upgraded Skyjacker Hydro shocks. the frame painted. and much more! Reassembly of the car was finalized in June of 2009. Documentation of the restoration includes photos and all labor receipts. Also included with this FJ will be the original owner's manual. a workshop manual. and tire changing tools. More recently. we elected to replace the original window seals on the hardtop for new. fresh ones and two new batteries under the hood as of October 2013. While it has not seen much dirt since restoration. this FJ would be at home fording a river. rock crawling. or playing in the mud. Since the overhaul. it has traveled a carefree 3. 51 miles over the past 4 years. A superb example of Toyota's longest running model series. this FJ is an essential part of any Toyota or off-road enthusiast's collection. Please feel free to call with any additional questions. or to schedule an opportunity to see this vehicle in person! We look forward to working with you!
