Here is a unique spin on a custom Camaro. Instead of giving it modern cosmetic features, how about some vintage touches to make it a one of a kind. It has a 1940 modified dash, steering wheel and wheels. Only 456 miles on a body of frame restoration.

EXTERIOR: Right out of the south. The body looks very clean and straight. Beautiful ice blue metallic with a glossy clear coat finish. The roof is painted white. In front the grill, bumpers, bezels, emblems have all been replaced. Rear bumper and taillights look new the windshield, weatherstrips and window seals were replaced. Reproduction 1940 style rims are painted and has new trim. Reproduction Firestone tires.

INTERIOR: The 1940 dash I told you about may look old but it has modern technology. All new gauges including tachometer and it has 2 digital read outs. There is a matching clock, the instruments light up blue. Reproduction 1940 steering wheel. The center speaker grill actually opens and closes with an electric motor. It conceals the climate, headlight and wiper controls. Custom bucket seats are so soft and comfy. Leather upholstery with white stitching and unique fabric inserts. Custom molded door panels have fabric inserts and billet window cranks. All new seat belts. I like the new gray carpet. The headliner and visors have been redone. The modern stereo is in the glove box, 6x9 speakers are in the back.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: New 350-300 hp crate motor with an aluminum intake, Holley carb with electric choke, HEI ignition and long tube coated headers. All the components look new- pulleys, brackets, alternator, steering box, wiring harness, horn etc. The wiper motor is new, squirters are hooked up. The wiring harness is all new. Battery cables are new, battery is bolted down properly. It has power steering. It also has an updated Vintage Air heat and a/c system. There's an electric fan on the radiator.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid metal trunk with gray and white splatter paint. The weatherstrip is new.

UNDERSIDE: It has been body off the frame restored. The front end components literally look new- spindles, ball joints, bushings, tie rods, right down to the cotter pins. Hotchkis lowering springs and gas shocks. New body bushings on the subframe. In back the springs, hardware and Hotchkis gas shocks were replaced. Has a great custom exhaust system. It's all stainless steel with fat pipes, x-pipe in the middle and MagnaFlow mufflers. The brake system has been all redone. It has disc in front, the hoses and lines have been replaced. The E-brake assembly is hooked up. It has a new fuel system including the tank, straps, sending unit and lines. Looking up at the motor it is spotless, the starter looks fresh. The 4-speed Muncie transmission also looks fresh. The linkage looks new. U joints have been replaced, it has a 10 bolt rear end with new 3.42 Auburn posi. The floors are all metal and they are sprayed a red oxide primer. The chassis is detailed out.

I drove this car home. It performs like a new car. Quick and handles great. I would drive it anywhere. The wheels are a very unique idea. If you prefer more flash a big set of polished wheels would look great too. The car is awesome no matter what wheels it's rolling on.

About Volo Auto Museum

No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.

Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.

Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn't have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else's.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn't sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
