Just traded in is this super nice very unique 1979 Chevrolet T-TOP L48 Corvette! This was the former owners baby & pride of ownership & care show thru-out on this turn key garage kept driver or show beauty! This 1979 was given a full updated restoration and has only been driven approx 2,900 miles since built & is believed to be a 43k mile car. I will touch on some of the restoration work! Loads or supporting documentation & receipts SEE PHOTO The original numbers matching engine and automatic transmission were removed and sent to Jasper Engines for complete rebuilds. The engine benefitted from the Jasper mild (300 horsepower) enhancement option at time of rebuild and also some additional improvements at time of install such as :1) The engine has ceramic coated headers with a completely new 1970 "stock replacement" exhaust system (no Y-pipe or converter. 2) An Edelbrock Performer intake manifold with the Endura-shine option. 3) A stock Holley replacement carburetor with an electric choke. All these enhancements add up to a smooth and stock sounding 1979 that runs and performs like a 1970, which was the intention. This car runs, performs and handles excellent. It uses zero oil, it drips zero oil. This car is reliable and have experienced no headaches like many old cars. It has come nice features like tinted glass, power windows, original owners manual, 3 sets of keys, nice Corvette rally's with new tires when restored & much more! The exterior is metallic blue turquoise (a 1967 Impala color code with a hint of green) paint shines & shows super nice. Most of the body was removed for paint and body work (except the birdcage which was left in place). Super nice supple & comfy seats & interior shows excellent thru-out. The interior received a complete restoration including, Total seat restoration (repainted frames and rails, new hardware, backs, trim and seat covers & are leather, new carpet, door cards and arm rests, instrument cluster bezels with new bezel lenses, working gauges, clock, electrical switches and all new hardware. A new digital Corvette reproduction stock appearing stereo with new stock speakers and grills was installed. Any of the instruments, circuit boards, switches, hardware, interior trim, etc. that was in need of repair was either restored or replaced. All new cooling system with polished waterpump. The entire braking, steering and suspension systems were completely (100%) removed down to the bare frame and replaced with new OEM powder coated hard parts and all new soft parts at Van Steel Corvette in Clearwater, FL this alone was $6,500 for this work. The car has a complete heat and air system intact as it should and was fully refurbished with new heater core & evap condenser, compressor lines & new A/C control unit & more. There has been some endura-shine and chrome enhancements under the hood such as the intake manifold, power steering brake booster, master cylinder and water pump. The car drives as good as it gets it is quiet, smooth and runs much better than a 1979 would have back then. This is one fine sharp driver quality Corvette! It is ready to enjoy now. All lights & gauges work. It has cold a/c, nice working power windows & doors & hood open & close nice.
