This '56  Chrysler is a joy to drive and requires no repairs . It was recently serviced after a period of inactivity and I've put about 500 miles on it over the past 2 months without any problems. It starts very easily and benefits from an electric fuel pump which quickly delivers fuel for fast starts even after long periods of inactivity. No need to  prime the carburetor or crank the engine for long periods. It accelerates . ruises and idles nicely and maintains freeway speed effortlessly. It tracks straight. oes not drift. and has no shimmy or vibration in the steering or driveline. The tires are smooth running radial white stripes that now wear portawalls. Plenty of tread left .

All gauges. witches. ights work as they should. Even the courtesy lights in the trunk. headliner. ap. function as do the dash lights. urn signals and exterior lights and wipers. Windows roll up and down easily and stay on track. Doors latch securely and release easily. These are items that often do not perform well on original unrestored cars of this age. Their functionality makes for a pleasant experience in an old car. All glass is clear. o delamination or bubbling. All window frames. hrome or stainless are very good.

Cosmetically. what the next owner does is a matter of personal preference. The Windsor still presents nicely(in my opinion) but certainly has areas that can be improved if desired. Paint has worn off the tops of both front fenders from polishing and roof paint shows wear and chips. The body paint has numerous scratches and chips as well as fade. A previous owner apparently tried some touch up with the correct factory color but did not allow for fade. o the paint shows blotches on the passenger side and trunk lid. Fortunately all of the trim is on the car and in good condition except for a rusty rear center bumper portion. I have the windshield trim portion not pictured on the car. This car can be enjoyed as is. r repainted to present better. r fully restored since it is straight . ust free and complete.

Mileage on the car can not be verified. I suspect it is correct at 83. xx because the wiring in the engine bay is original. till in serviceable condition. Cloth wrapped wiring usually is heavily deteriorated and patched if the odometer has rolled over. Other wear areas such as brake pedal. teering wheel look about right for a lower mileage car. Most importantly. the engine feels and sounds tight. does not burn oil or emit significant blow by. No rattles. roans or squeaks from the body/frame also reinforce my opinion.

Please feel free to ask questions. Schedule a visit . Nothing takes the place of a personal inspection. especially on old cars where opinions can vary. I'm retired and available any time.
