*****Very Rare!*****
A Car Collector's Dream!

1956 Lincoln Continental Mark ll is EXTREMELY RARE. only approximately 3300 ever produced and only half of those are known to be in existence!!!
 Project car. Restoration has been started.
368 ci engine completely rebuilt and ready to drop in.  The front end frame and engine compartment have been painted and are ready for engine.

All four tires are brand new Coker white walls.
Front end has been taken off including fenders.   The air vent ducts that were attached to fenders have rusted and must be fabricated or good used ones put back on fenders.   The fenders should be repaired (where air ducts have rusted)  and painted before being reattached to front end.

This car was the most luxurious machine to roll off the line. The likes of Sinatra. Elvis and Dean Martin were the only ones that could afford it. It was as expensive as two Caddys and one Rolls Royce in it's day.
It even has power vent windows. Even has the original jack and spare tire!
These cars can go for $80. 00-$100. 00 or more when restored.

The car is totally complete except for wiper arms and blades and the emblems on the sides.

Research has been done on the car and is listed below:C5691312 10 - 1D 3G - 923 - 12
C = Continental car line
56 = model year
9 = production month. September 1955
1312 = the 312th car scheduled for production. the first was 1001. This number sequence was used throughout the entire production of the Mark II
10 = Sandalwood (paint color)
1D3G = medium beige leather interior923 = September 23. 1955 production date
12 = 12th car produced on 9/23/55
The rust that I have found:   There is rust where the rear of the inner fenders are bolted to the frame.   Other rust issues are where the fresh air comes through the ducts underneath the front fenders because they were not undercoated.   New vent air ducts must be fabricated or  replaced with good used ducts.   It is heavily undercoated and it's hard to inspect thoroughly.    There are two short cross members that have minor damage and rust - looks like the car must have been improperly raised with a lift or maybe jacked up in the wrong place.  Gray primer has been put on the car OVER the original laquer that had cracked from age.      The cracked laquer had been sprayed with primer to cover the cracks when I bought it. but it didn't work.   The cracks showed through.  The car should be blasted off to the metal and painted the original beige color.   Know what you are bidding on.   This is a project/driver car with a new rebuilt engine ready to go back in.   The fenders have been removed and need to be repaired with new/rebuilt air ducts attached to them and painted before being put back on the car.  I had shopped for a Mark II for many years.   I finally found and bought this car but now I am forced to sell it.    Unfortunately. I  cannot finish the work because of an illness.  This car is advertised locally so I reserve the right to withdraw listing.
Happy Bidding on this rare treasure waiting to be finished!
