1966 Ford Mustang K-code Fastback for sale
Current customer rating:
Very nice 1966 Mustang Fastback with very rare K-code engine and GT equipment group.
The car was restored around 2000. and I've owned the car since 2004.
I really hate to sell it. but after ten years. it's time to move on. Every time I sit in it I change my mind about sell it. But this time I promised myself I wouldn't sit in the car again until it's sold!
The motor is strong and the car drives great. As you can see in the pictures the interior is very nice and in very good condition. The paint is far from perfect.
It has several chips. scratches. etc. and the finish is weathered - But the car still shows very well when cleaned up. The transmission was re-built about four years ago and at that time I added the Tri-Y headers. I still have the original headers. The 4-speed shifter was also rebuilt. It will bind sometimes coming out of reverse. so linkage does need some adjustment.
The car spent most of it's life on Long Island. New York. and the last 10 years in Indiana.
This is a Metuchen built car and it has the original door tag and K-code Buck tag. In addition. I have the original build sheet for the car. I've never been able to find a serial number on the engine block. It's either not there. or covered by paint.
I don't recall exactly what sheet metal was replaced at the time it was restored.
I believe both rear quarter panels and floor pans were replaced. but I'm not positive. The motor does have the correct heads. The carburetor isn't original. but it is the correct carb for the car.
This is how the door tag reads:
