1977 Chevrolet C10 Silverado Short Bed

Backstory: One owner TX farm truck that had been parked since 1991 when the previous owner blew the motor. I got purchased the truck in summer of 2020, and got the truck back on the road summer of 2021 after it had been sitting for 30 years. As such, I thoroughly went through the every single aspect of the truck to get it back on the road and ensure it was safe and reliable – details below.

Body: Silverado trim package with power windows (both work, all new channels, felt and rubber on both sides), power locks (stopped working a month ago, haven't had time to troubleshoot), power steering and power brakes. True short bed, nice patina. I believe there has been body work on the passenger door, and I'm uncertain how much of the paint is original. Missing passenger side bed trim (assume it came off when it suffered the dent on the right rear side), I have the drivers side bed trim. Very minor rust in the floor on both sides near the door gasket (pictured). Treated with POR-15 and very minor in my opinion. Cab corners are great, and bed is very solid as well, only minor pitting towards the cab end of the bed floor. Minor rust in bottom corner of passenger door, also pictured.

Drivetrain: Chevrolet 5.3LS (gen 3) and 4L60E combo that came out of a 2004 Avalanche with approx. 130,000 miles on it. I inspected the motor and replaced front and rear cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, and intake gaskets. Very clean motor, no issues noted, runs and shifts perfectly, mobile 1 synthetic oil used. Installed Trailblazer SS converter in the 4L60 trans, changed trans oil and filter, and have had no issues. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere. I followed the Tejas Steel Works LS swap guide and used their motor mounts, trans mount, and general suggestions for the swap. The LS install is very clean and looks professional in my opinion. Also has the big 4-row GM big block radiator with a nice shroud and two 14” Spal fans that are electrically controlled with the ECU. This truck runs VERY cool even in the heat of stop and go traffic in a TX summer. Factory re-worked harness and ECU. Harness wires for cruise control are pulled into the cab and labeled clearly, I was going to run CC but didn't get to it. I can't say enough good things about this LS combo in this truck – it works flawlessly and is a blast to drive. Stainless shorty headers with Flowmaster Flow FX mufflers dumped before the rear axle sound great and produce a very reasonable idle, but louder on acceleration, but still not obnoxious at all. New fuel tank, walboro pump, corvette fuel regulator.

Interior: I installed dynamat (amazon generic version) to the entire floor and cab, very quiet and comfortable to dive. Door and kick panels have been re-dyed original saddle color and are in fair shape still. New carpet installed. Original headliner in great shape. Original dash has some cracks, but still in looks good in my opinion. All factory gauges work except speedo (oil pressure, fuel level, temp). I had the tilt steering column professionally rebuilt and it is very tight and functions perfectly. Grant GT steering wheel. Still has factory original 3-point seatbelts that cleaned up great and function perfectly. Needs seat cover and the interior would be perfect as is in my opinion. Radio and speakers do not function.

Suspension: Every single suspension bushing, ball joint, and tie rod has been replaced with Moog parts front and rear. The suspension is tight and rides great with very accurate power steering. I had a full alignment done approx. 6 months ago and it is still dead-on. Lowered 6.5”/4.5” with a western chassis kit. New springs and spindles up front, axle flip kit in rear. I have a western chassis c-notch kit that will be included, but is not yet installed. I didn't want to cut the frame knowing I might sell the truck in case the buyer wanted to go back to stock height.

Brakes: Everything is new or rebuilt, and the power brakes function perfectly. New rotors, pads, brake lines, bearings, and rebuilt calipers up front. New drums, hardware, brake lines, and wheel cylinders in back. I also replaced the master cylinder and brake booster. The brakes feel and stop great and are 100% new for all intensive purposes.

Wheels/tires: Factory original rally wheels (15x7) cleaned up and painted satin black. New Cooper Cobra tires all around (less than 500miles).

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, so please ask questions. This is a solid, well-sorted, LS swapped C10 that is ready for its next adventure in life. In-person viewings welcome. Clear TX title in my name in hand. No trades, $1000 deposit due within 24hrs of auction close. Thanks for looking.

One thing I forgot to mention: this is an A/C truck, but it is not hooked up. The LS motor mounts I used allow the use of the factory LS air conditioning compressor (which is currently on the engine, I just left the belt off), and it can be adapted to the factory C10 air conditioning condenser and evaporator. The heater core is also not hooked up, but I have a new one that will be included.
