1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Coupe Malibu

$15,000 firm starting price for running driving '70 Chevelle. No reserve. One bid can win car for this! I drove this on a 6 hour highway trip last year, with NO issues, before I started taking trim off. It is roadworthy.

1970 Chevelle Malibu 2 door coupe. Solid car. All glass good. It has had usual metal patchwork behind wheels and rear wheel opening. Paintjob is not horrible, but not great either, except decklid.

Floor pan, trunk pan, and cowl are all fine. Some minor patchwork on left side rear window channel but it is holding up fine.

The only rust under vinyl top is that corner channel and just some light rust (sanded, metal prepped and primed) where the chrome trim was mounted. (see photos). No bubbles or peeling of the top anywhere.(other than where I carefully peeled the top back to start on the trim pitting, it can be reglued and I have a new trim kit). Front and rear glass had been removed and sesealed properly before I got the car. Being the original top indicates that this car spent many years garaged, but I have no history on it.

Vinyl top is original, I rubbed one spot through to the white. ( see build sheet)Can easily be resprayed.

57,000 miles believed to be original but no documents.

I have the original front suspension and springs. It was all tight except two lower control arm bushings were rotted.

307 Powerglide and 3.08:1 rearend are all original.

I have all stainless trim and extra anodized aluminum trim ( the 3 pieces that go from top of front fenders back to C pillar )

New master cylinder and brake booster (aftermarket), brakeline rubber hoses, and wheel cylinders, all original metal lines still look good, a/c compressor, a/c works great.

HEI distributor.

Trunk lid professionally painted original code 75 red. The rest of the car needs body smoothed over and painted.

I have all new rubber seals and weatherstripping.

Two extra front fender extensions.

New bumpers installed.

Have all internal parts to put back to original '70 rear bumper if you prefer to. New bumper shells are easy to find.

Have original bumpers too.

New rear '71 taillights, entire bumper assembly. I reused the '70 wiring but have a new '71 trunk wiring kit. Did not need it so I reused original.

Gas tank is original and solid, just sanded, primed and painted. New tank sending unit.

New tubular front suspension lowered 2" and GM alignment.

Centerline wheels and tires look good. 275/60/15 rear 245/60/15 front. Nothing rubs anywhere.

Newer dual exhaust, starter and carburetor and valve cover gaskets.

Seats recovered, new door panels, and new carpet before I got it. Two small holes in the original headliner.

New bluetooth retro stereo and four speakers.

Car runs great and drives fine as is, but obviously should have bodywork and paint done soon.

Good car to restore or make nice driver.
