1938 Ford Model 81 A Tudor Sedan

This 1938 Ford Model 81 A Tudor sedan, one of the 106,117 cars in that body style that Ford produced in 1938. It's been customized with eye-catching paint and has undergone mechanical upgrades, both under the hood and to the chassis. It has an early 24-stud engine that is period correct and original to this vehicle. This car has been switched to 12-volt electricals. From a performance standpoint, the flathead V-8 has been upgraded with Edelbrock cylinder heads and dual Stromberg 97 carburetors on an aftermarket intake manifold. A custom Howe welded aluminum radiator has been fitted. The Ford three-speed manual transmission shifts gears well but occasionally makes scratching noises going into second gear. Mechanically it fires right up, and runs/drives. It will need to be serviced as its just been sitting for many years. All the glass is in excellent condition, as are the body's seals and weatherstripping. It has Garfield wide-whitewall tires paired with factory V-8 wheel covers. The interior of this Ford has been completely redone. The dashboard is painted properly in faux burled-wood style, and the factory instruments look to be in very good original condition. The AM radio in the dash is original to the car and functional. The front and rear seats are covered in velour-like button-tufted cloth. The Exterior is in excellent condition. Paint is deep and glossy. There is no rust, bondo or any previous accidents on the vehicle. There are no unusual drivetrain or suspension noises. All suspension and steering components are in proper working order. Original mechanical brakes have been upgraded to hydraulic operation. It presents itself the way shown the video!
